Mein Name ist Joanna Trummer, ich bin 19 Jahre alt und mache seit September 2024 ein Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr an einer Gemeinschaftsschule. Dort unterstütze ich die Schüler*innen im Unterricht, insbesondere in den Klassenstufen 1–3 und 4–6, vor allem in Mathematik und Biologie. Mir macht es großen Spaß, Schüler*innen zu helfen und ihnen den Lernstoff auf eine verständliche und motivierende Weise zu erklären. Mein Ziel ist es, nicht nur Wissen zu vermitteln, sondern auch die Freude an diesen Fächern weiterzugeben. Ich habe im Juni 2024 mein Abitur am Osterlandgymnasium gemacht. Seit September 2024 absolviere ich ein FSJ an einer Gemeinschaftsschule. In dieser Zeit habe ich viele Erfahrungen im Umgang mit Kindern gesammelt. Dabei unterstütze ich sowohl den Unterricht als auch die Arbeit im Hort.

I teach Trigonometry and Geometry. I also conduct lectures for Mechanical engineering students so I can teach engineering related physics such as mechanics, dynamics, kinematics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer. Preferred age group: KS3, College/University level Languages: I am fluent in English and I can speak a little Japanese. My background: I am a practicing Mechanical Engineer and I have University lecturing experience. More than theoretical concepts, I can also cover practical problems applying the use of math, physics, or combined STEM subjects. Hobbies: I like sports, gaming, charcoal painting, and anime. I am an enthusiast of VR technology and I actively play VR games in my Quest 2 VR console. I am a relaxed and fun teacher. I believe that learning should be fun and a student should not be under strict pressure all the time. For me, learning is a two-way communication process, I need to understand the student first before the student can understand my lesson. I create interactive learning activities and I find ways to make learning easier for every student. Lastly, I guide students to reach their learning goals and further equip them with knowledge that will be useful for their future career. I have a diploma in Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. I studied my degree in Bulacan State University. I passed the Licensure Exam for Mechanical Engineering and I am currently a practicing Licensed Mechanical Engineer. I worked as a Technical Service Engineer in Copeland(Emerson) for over two years. I honed my critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills in this job. I also lectured in the College of Engineering of Bulacan State University for more than 2 years. I taught engineering courses and applied the concepts of various STEM subjects such as physics, algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and calculus.
