I am currently a BSc Business Computing graduate from Brunel University. I have been studying math throughout my education which means I am able to teach first-hand how fun and interesting math can be for the younger generation. My main hobbies are football and cycling. I chose to teach math as it gives me the opportunity to work in a position that has a positive impact on young people, who will be the future change makers in our society. Teaching is a passion that allows me to combine my love for learning with my desire to help others succeed. There's something deeply rewarding about watching a student grasp a new concept or gain confidence in their abilities. For me, teaching isn't just about delivering information; it’s about creating a supportive and engaging environment where students feel inspired to explore, ask questions, and challenge themselves. One of the most fulfilling aspects of teaching is the opportunity to make a lasting impact on someone's life. Whether it's helping a student overcome a struggle, guiding them through their learning journey, or simply encouraging them to believe in their potential, those moments are what drive my passion. I believe that every student is unique, and it’s important to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs, whether through creative approaches, hands-on activities, or one-on-one support. Building meaningful relationships with students, understanding their strengths and challenges, and providing personalized guidance is at the heart of what I do. Ultimately, teaching is about fostering growth, inspiring curiosity, and empowering students to reach their full potential, and that’s what makes it such a fulfilling and lifelong passion for me. I completed my General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) in the United Kingdom, where I laid the foundation for my academic journey. Subsequently, I pursued my A-levels, advancing my knowledge in specific subjects and preparing for higher education. Currently, I am enrolled in university, where I am actively engaged in furthering my education. This stage of my academic journey has provided me with opportunities to delve deeper into my chosen field of study, contributing to my overall growth and development. Hi! I am Lamees and am currently a gap year student, due to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) at Durham University. During my time at sixth-form, I was one of the top students. From getting 3A*, getting Distinction in the Maths Olympaid for Girls to winning the school's Philosophy Prize I want to pass on my knowledge to others!
