About me
I'm an Economics, Maths, Business Studies, and 11+ teacher, with experience of teaching in state secondary schools, Grammar schools, private schools and a college of further education, as well as tutoring private individuals. I'm also a professional Economist and Investment Strategist, with over 20 years experience working for investment banks, hedge funds and wealth management companies. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and a Master's Degree in European Economic/Political Studies and Statistical Economics. I can teach A-Level and GCSE Economics, GCSE Maths, Key Stage 3 Maths, GCSE Business Studies, and 11+ in Maths/English. I have a passion for teaching - a good education is one of the most valuable assets one can have in life and can set you up for the rest of your life. I've tutored my children in various subjects and helped my son with his 11+ exams, enabling him to get into one of the best schools in the country. I'm a very friendly, approachable, positive and friendly teacher, who creates a relaxed teaching environment so that the student feels comfortable and happy to learn and ask questions. I listen to the needs and requirements of the student and create a structured study plan, involving theory, practice questions and real-world examples that the student can relate to based on their interests and hobbies.
