Up to University level: Italian and Portuguese language, English for NON-NATIVE SPEAKERS. Preferred student age group: any. Languages: English, Italian and Portuguese. I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in foreign languages from the University of Turin, Italy. I spent one year at the National University of Ireland in Galway as an exchange student. During my studies I focused on the following subjects: English, Portuguese and Italian language and literature, translation studies and tourism. I hold a CELTA certificate from Cambridge University for teaching English to speakers of other languages.
About me
I’m a language teacher (Italian, Portuguese and English for non-native speakers) and I really enjoy helping my students develop confidence and fluency and achieve their goals. In my lessons I always try to create a trustful environment and to use interactive and engaging activities to make sure that my students are always taking active part in the learning process. I’ve always had a passion for languages, I love learning about the structure of languages and how they relate to one another. Being a language learner myself, I know it can be daunting to deal with grammar rules, new vocabulary and pronunciation, but it can also be a lot of fun; it’s really exciting to be able to communicate with people that come from a different country than yours and to learn about their culture. My hobbies are travelling and reading books. I love outdoor activities, especially trekking and skiing and I also enjoy playing the violin.
