Hi, I’m Ernan! With over 20 years of math tutoring experience and a Bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics, I specialize in helping students at the GCSE and A-level. My passion for math extends beyond teaching—I’ve applied mathematical principles to game design, making complex concepts engaging and accessible. Since 2000, I've tutored subjects from primary math to advanced topics like algebra, trigonometry, geometry, statistics, and calculus both in-person and online. I also teach other subjects including Biology, Physics, and Geography. My career also includes roles as a Game Mathematician and Slot Designer, where I developed mathematical models for slot games, as well as experience as a Software Engineer and Actuarial Assistant. I am a Registered Psychometrician who has worked in an educational institution for several years. I also have four years of experience teaching English and I am TEFL-certified. During my first year of teaching, I became an assessor for young learners. I assess and evaluate their proficiency in the English language. Additionally, I was allowed to teach Business English to young professionals and businesspeople. I help them prepare for exams and presentations and enhance their professional communication. I also help boost their confidence in speaking. Teaching has always been my passion. It allows me to share my knowledge and inspire my students to succeed. During my free time, I read novels and watch movies. I also love traveling and exploring other cultures and trying different cuisines. I majored in Psychology at the university and earned thirty-nine (39) academic units in my master's degree in Psychological Measurement at De La Salle University. I have always been interested in studying Psychology because it is fascinating. It helps us understand human behavior, thoughts, and emotions. It is like uncovering the reason why people behave in a particular way, which can lead to better relationships and communication. I took the board exams to become a Registered Psychometrician in 2015. As a Psychometrician, I specialize in the development, administration and interpretation of psychological tests that measure a variety of attributes such as intelligence, personality and behavior. I play a crucial role in ensuring these tests are scientifically valid, reliable and unbiased. Furthermore, I love teaching the English language as well. Language is a vital tool for communication, and it is amazingly rewarding to help others develop that skill too.

Ciao a tutti! :) Mi chiamo Chiara Giurdanella, ho 29 anni e sono Siciliana. Sin da piccola mi sono sempre piaciute le lingue straniere perchè adoro viaggiare, sono laureata in "Lingue e Comunicazione per l'Impresa e il Turismo" e mi sono specializzata in "Tourism System and Hospitality Management". Grazie al Servizio Civile Nazionale, svolto qualche anno fa, ho scoperto che una delle mie più grandi passioni è l'insegnamento, per cui ho preso la certificazione DITALS grazie alla quale sono riuscita ad entrare sempre più in questo nuovo ambito, che mi piace molto! Mi definisco una persona allegra, organizzata, creativa e molto dinamica. Inoltre, mi piace molto lavorare con bambini e ragazzi, infatti durante la mia adolescenza sono stata per diversi anni animatrice GREST. Al liceo ho frequentato il linguistico di Ragusa, grazie al quale ho fatto una settimana di vacanza studio a Londra e 3 a Madrid, qualche anno dopo. Una volta diplomata, ho proseguito gli studi presso l'Università della Valle D'Aosta, lì ho studiato inglese, francese e spagnolo. Il secondo anno di triennale l'ho frequentato a Chambéry (Francia) grazie al programma di scambio internazionale convenzionato con l'Université Savoie Mont Blanc. Il terzo anno, invece, sono stata 3 mesi a Londra per lo stage, in cui ho lavorato in una scuola per bimbi bilingue (italo-inglesi). Per la magistrale ho studiato presso l'Università degli Studi di Palermo e per via del COVID-19 non è stato possibile andare all'estero, però dato il corso interamente in inglese, abbiamo comunque avuto l'opportunità di interagire sia con professori sia con studenti americani durante i 2 anni (dato che il corso era convenzionato con la FIU di Miami).
