We are looking for an experienced Head of Tax(Subject matter expert) overseeing the GoStudent Group Tax & Compliance Function.

What you’ll do:

• Ongoing building of the tax function and leading the function through the company's journey
• Management of the inhouse corporate and indirect tax compliance activities in Austria
• Management of the outsourced corporate and indirect tax compliance activities and responsibility for all corporate tax matters in Europe and Turkey
• Preparation of tax disclosures in statutory accounts, group IFRS reporting and review of tax provision calculations
• Responsibility for group transfer pricing policies and documentation
• Preparing tax forecasts and budgets
• Providing tax support for M&A activities, internal reorganisations, including due diligence and tax structuring
• Providing tax input into internal operating models
• Cooperation with the whole Finance team and other departments on cross-departmental projects and helping to ensure success
• Building and maintaining relationship and interaction with external tax advisors to provide excellent planning, consulting and expertise

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree (in Tax and/or Law) with 10+ years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of VAT law (Austria and Europe) with proven working experience in a related field, Austrian tax qualification is a benefit
• Excellent business judgment, strategic thinking, and ability to manage multiple matters.
• Hands on, business minded, self-starter and autonomous, yet a collaborative team player
• Motivated to work in a fast paced ever changing start-up environment
• Fact based strategic and analytical thinking with ability to deep dive without losing the broader perspective
