About Me Hello! My name is Mary Ann Suizo, and I am a dedicated and passionate educator with a love for fostering growth and curiosity in students. I have always believed in the transformative power of education, and my goal is to create an engaging, supportive, and inclusive environment where every student feels empowered to succeed. With experience in Mathematics areas such as General Mathematics and Statistics and Probability, also in Science for General Physics 1 and 2, I aim to inspire a love of learning and develop critical thinking skills that students can carry with them throughout their lives. Outside the classroom, I enjoy playing Lawn Tennis as my sports and Reading and Studying nonfiction books especially an inspirational and motivational true to life journey which help me stay balanced and bring fresh perspectives to my teaching. Education I hold a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and a Post-Baccalaureate in Teacher Education with a major in Mathematics. I am currently pursuing a Master's in Education, also with a major in Mathematics which provided me with a solid foundation in both pedagogical theory and subject-specific knowledge. Through my studies, I developed a strong understanding of how to create lesson plans that meet diverse learning needs, while also fostering a positive classroom environment. Additionally, I have participated in professional development trainings, seminars and workshops for the past years, ensuring that I stay updated with the latest teaching strategies and educational tools. Hallo, ich bin der Markus mit 23 Jahren und ich studiere Mathematik und Sport auf Lehramt. In Mathematik habe ich bereits sieben Semester hinter mir und in Sport fünf. In meiner Freizeit mache ich hauptsächlich Sport; Laufen ist dabei ein Muss für jede Woche. Zeichnen und etwas Lesen tu ich auch gern. Erfahrung im Unterrichten habe ich natürlich durch das Studium, mittels mehrerer Praktika, bereits bekommen und mittlerweile auch schon durch insgesamt mehr als 300 Einheiten auf Gostudent. Nun ein wenig wie ich so bin: Ich mag es eher locker, aber mit einem Ziel vor Augen. Dh. ich will den Spaß an Mathe mitgeben können, will aber auch, dass die Ziele, die man sich selber setzt, erreicht. Weiters würde ich mich als eine recht positiv eingestellte und motivierende Person sehen; zu viele Leute setzen sich geringe Erwartungen und sind so ab Anfang an demotiviert - hier will ich probieren Schüler*innen mehr Selbstbewusstsein zu geben, sodass sie "selbst" in Mathe mehr erreichen, als sie glauben würden. Das war es dann aber auch schon. Danke fürs Durchlesen :) Mein akademischer Hintergrund besteht zur Zeit (08.2023) aus der Matura, welche ich im Jahr 2020 auf der GRG4 (Wiednergymnasium/Sir Karl Popper Schule) absolviert habe. Ab dem Wintersemester 2021 studiere ich das Unterrichtsfach Mathematik auf Lehramt und habe somit bis jetzt fast sieben Semester hinter mir. Zusätzlich studiere ich das Unterrichtsfach Sport und Bewegung auf Lehramt, das ich seit dem Wintersemester 2022 studiere (also mehr als vier Semester lang).
