The ocean is my go to place, I feel at peace looking at nature. I love the colours purple and blue and consider myself a chocoholic. I have matriculated at Ferndale Combined School in Durban, South Africa in the year 2016. I have obtained my bachelor’s degree in intermediate and senior phase at the University of South Africa (Unisa). Hello, my name is Edden Fernandez. I am 24 years old, and a Licensed Professional Teacher currently teaching English subject in a private school for three years now. I enjoy helping people learn new things, like spelling words, solving puzzles, or even teaching them songs. I feel happy and proud when I see them understand something because of what I taught them! I believe teaching is such an important profession and vocation, and I want to inspire kids to do their best. When I’m not teaching students, I have a lot of hobbies that keep me busy and happy. I love playing table tennis because it’s so exciting and keeps me active. I also enjoy writing stories, especially about fun adventures and inspiring characters. Reading novels is another favorite of mine—I love diving into new worlds and learning from the stories I read. I graduated from Innovative College of Science and Technology in 2023 with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in English, earning my diploma and Latin honor. My academic journey has been deeply enriching, equipping me with both theoretical knowledge and practical teaching skills that align with the demands of modern education. Throughout my years of study, I cultivated a strong passion for teaching the English language, focusing on developing students’ communication skills and critical thinking.

Ich studiere Jus, habe aber nebenbei viele andere Hobbys, welche ich intensiv verfolge, vor allem Sprachen, Musik und Naturwissenschaften. In meiner Freizeit spiele ich Klavier, treibe Sport (Tennis, Golf, Fitness) und lese zu den genannten Themen viel, nehme hin und wieder an Kursen teil, um mein Wissen in den Gebieten laufend zu erweitern und auf den neusten Stand zu bringen. Ich habe in meiner Freizeit bereits häufig Freunden und Bekannten Nachhilfe gegeben - sei es in Sprachen, Naturwissenschaften oder im Einsteig als Unterstützung in der Klavierspielen. Schon zu meiner Schulzeit habe ich es geliebt, Präsentationen zu halten, auszuarbeiten und zu recherchieren. Anderen Menschen Wissen so zu vermitteln, dass es greifbar und verständlich wird, welches man sich selbst tiefgründig angeeignet hat, stellt für mich eine unglaublich wichtige Aufgabe dar, welcher ich neben meinem Studium gerne nachgehe.

I am a Physical Therapy graduate and have completed a Teaching & Demo course with New York Universities as an international student. My academic background has provided me with a strong foundation in teaching strategies, language, and literature. Through my studies, I developed the ability to design well-structured lessons that cater to individual students’ needs. After finishing my TEFL course and got certified, I gained experience in creating engaging activities and incorporating real-world examples to enhance student comprehension and make an interactive, enjoyable learning experience.
