Hi, I’m Elaine Bereña, and I specialize in teaching Mathematics. My teaching journey began as part of my return of service for the scholarship I received during my college years. During that time, I taught various Math subjects, including General Mathematics, Pre-Calculus, Basic Calculus, and Statistics and Probability. In addition to my classroom experience, I also provided tutoring services for college students in higher-level mathematics courses, such as Calculus. Currently, I work as a freelance chat-based tutor, continuing to support students with their learning needs in Mathematics. The satisfaction I feel when a student grasps a challenging concept is incredibly rewarding. I take great pride in contributing to each student’s academic growth, and I view teaching as a reciprocal experience—helping students develop while constantly learning and evolving myself. As an educator, I am passionate about creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. My goal is to make students feel comfortable and confident, encouraging them to share their hobbies, interests, and personal experiences. I incorporate these elements into lessons and practice problems, making the learning process more relatable, enjoyable, and aligned with their unique passions. I hold a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Batangas State University – The National Engineering University in the Philippines. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience in both teaching and the Electrical Engineering industry, with a particular focus on renewable energy. My career spans various roles in engineering, project management, strategic planning, and teaching, equipping me with a versatile skill set and a deep understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of the field. In addition to my technical expertise, I am passionate about bridging the gap between theory and real-world applications, ensuring that students not only develop strong academic foundations but also acquire the practical skills and insights needed to excel in their careers. I believe in providing students with a well-rounded learning experience that prepares them for the dynamic challenges of the engineering world, particularly in emerging sectors like renewable energy. As I continue to grow professionally, I look forward to further contributing to the academic community, sharing my knowledge, and learning from others to enhance both my teaching and industry practice.

Bonjour, Je m'appelle Margot et j'ai 24 ans. Je suis actuellement étudiante en fin de cycle bachelier en sciences logopédiques (orthophonie). Je suis quelqu'un de créatif, qui a pour principales passions l'art, la peinture à l'aquarelle ainsi que la lecture. Je suis également soucieuse du travail bien fait et rigoureuse. Concernant les cours de soutien scolaire, je pourrais me servir des bases obtenus dans le cadre de mes études pour structurer ma leçon (jeu, activité, ...). J'ai déjà pu être en contact avec des enfants et des adolescents à travers les stages effectués au sein de mon cursus (cabinet libéral, enseignement spécialisé). Ayant une soeur jumelle, nous nous sommes toujours entraidées pour la réalisation des travaux scolaires, ceci est donc un domaine où je me sens à l'aise. Après un baccalauréat scientifique option SVT et spécialité mathématiques, obtenu mention bien, je me suis orientée vers des études de médecine à l'Université catholique de Lille. A la suite de ma première année, j'ai décidé de me réorienter vers une classe préparatoire paramédicale, me permettant de me former aux concours d'entrée en école d'orthophonie. Cette expérience m'a permis d'acquérir de solides bases en français, ainsi que l'obtention du certificat Voltaire à un niveau expert. Après cette année de préparation, j'ai décidé de tenter ma chance en Belgique afin d'entrer dans le cursus d'apprentissage d'un bachelor en sciences logopédiques, qui me permettra d'exercer le métier d'orthophoniste. Je suis actuellement en dernière année de ce cursus.
