Hi! I am Lyka Anne I. Gabuat, I hold a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree, specializing in Teaching Mathematics to middle school and high school students. For 6 years, I have taught math courses to senior high school students, specifically Calculus, Statistics and Probabilities and General Mathematics. I also have a short but extensive experience teaching IB, A-level and IGCSE math’ through an after-school program in China. At present, I am an online private tutor catering students who are struggling in mathematics. At present, I’m a freelance private math tutor. I like to see my students have fun as they learn new ideas and concepts. I believe that every student is unique, and it's our responsibility as educators to nurture their individual strengths and help them reach their full potential. I graduated from University of Baguio, Philippines last may of 2016 and got my teaching license the same year. I worked in the same University from August 2016 - December 2022 as Senior High School math teacher. I went to China in the following year to tutor International students and come back for personal reasons. At the moment, I'm a freelance Math tutor catering primary school to senior high school students thru online and face-to-face platform. I am also a unit earner (25 units) in Masters in Education Major in Mathematics. In addition, I have B2 level Certificate in International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

Ciao a tutti! Sono Sara, ho 23 anni e sono una persona solare e intraprendente. Le mie più grandi passioni sono i viaggi e le lingue, che mi hanno portata a scegliere l’insegnamento come percorso professionale. Ho già esperienza nelle ripetizioni e ho sempre instaurato ottimi rapporti con i miei studenti. Insegnare per me significa trasmettere la passione per le lingue e aiutare gli altri a crescere con entusiasmo e curiosità! Mi sono laureata in Mediazione Linguistica e Culturale all’Università Ca’ Foscari di Venezia, dove ho sviluppato solide competenze nell’ambito della traduzione e dell’adattamento culturale. Durante il secondo anno di studi, ho trascorso nove mesi a Málaga, in Spagna, grazie al programma Erasmus, esperienza che ha ampliato la mia comprensione delle dinamiche culturali e migliorato ulteriormente le mie abilità linguistiche. Diplomata con il massimo dei voti presso il Liceo Linguistico, ho partecipato a numerosi scambi culturali e viaggi studio, che mi hanno permesso di affinare la mia padronanza delle lingue. Determinata e propositiva, sono sempre alla ricerca di nuovi stimoli per crescere sia a livello personale che professionale.

Hello! I’m Teacher Nest, and with over two years of experience teaching English as a second language, I’m passionate about fostering a love for learning. My teaching philosophy emphasizes critical thinking and creativity through engaging projects and collaborative activities. I create an inclusive, welcoming classroom where every student feels valued and confident. My specialties are speaking classes, meaning I encourage the students to express themselves more in a non-restrictive environment to hone their fluency in English speaking that would be very useful in either their educational goals and or other endeavors outside of a classroom setting (e.g. travelling abroad, work meetings, meeting new people from diverse backgrounds, and etc...) I’m also active in my School of Law Debate Team, which has enhanced my approach to student engagement and development.
