Hello! I am a postgraduate researcher in Biotechnology with a strong academic foundation that includes a BSc, Honours degree, and an MSc currently in its final stages. From early in my academic journey, I developed a passion not only for scientific inquiry but also for teaching and knowledge-sharing. My long-term goal is to contribute meaningfully to academia as a lecturer and researcher, and tutoring has been a natural and fulfilling part of that path. As a tutor, I bring a patient, structured, and empathetic approach to learning. I understand that students come from diverse backgrounds and often face anxiety, self-doubt, or gaps in foundational knowledge — challenges I help them navigate with clarity and confidence. I focus on building conceptual understanding rather than memorization, empowering students to think critically and apply scientific principles independently. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, with majors in Microbiology and Biochemistry, completed in 2020. I later obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Biotechnology in 2022, which strengthened my foundation in applied biotechnology, laboratory research, and scientific analysis. I am currently completing a Master of Science (MSc) in Biotechnology, with research-based training in experimental design, data interpretation, and scientific writing. In addition, I obtained a Tutor Training Certificate from the University of Johannesburg during my tutoring tenure (2024–2025), where I tutored Microbiology, gaining formal training in effective teaching, student support, and academic facilitation.

Hallo! Mein Name ist Christina. Ich habe in Wien Physik und auch Biomedizin und Biotechnologie studiert. Schon seit Jahren gebe ich Nachhilfe in Mathematik und habe somit schon sehr viel Erfahrung komplizierte Sachverhalte möglichst leicht zu erklären. Dabei ist auch hilfreich, dass ich engagiert und äußert geduldig bin. Ich war in einem Realgymnasium mit dem Schwerpunkt 'Naturwissenschaften'. Nach meiner Matura studierte ich 'Biomedizin und Biotechnologie' an der Veterinärmedizinischen Universität in Wien, wo ich einen Bachelorabschluss habe und an der Universität Wien machte ich einen Bachelor in Physik.

Hallo, ich bin Kaya. Ich komme und studiere im Moment in Wien. Als Linguistik-Studentin habe ich engen Kontakt mit Sprachen, der auf meine langjährige Interesse in Sprachen basiert. Aber ich genieße nicht nur Sprachen, ich lese auch unglaublich gerne und schreibe hin und wieder selber. Ich liebe es Menschen zu helfen, sei es in brenzlichen Situation, oder auch mit trivialen Problemen. Da mein Hauptstudium ebenso eng mit dem Erlernen von neuen Sprachen verbunden ist, kann ich mich gut in die Situation anderer hineinversetzen. Mich würde es freuen den ganz Kleinen bis zu den Großen weiterzuhelfen :). Ich studiere im Moment an der Universität Wien Linguistik. Da mein Hauptstudium ebenso eng mit neuen Sprachen erlernen verbunden ist, kann ich mich gut in die Situation anderer hineinversetzen. Ich habe 2020 am Akademischen Gymnasium Wien maturiert und habe sofort mein Studium gestartet. Durch mehrere Auslandsaufenthalte in englisch-sprachige Länder (Sprachschule und Auslandssemester) habe ich mein Englisch perfektioniert und würde diese auch gerne weitergeben. Außerdem habe ich vor zwei Jahren einen IELTS-Test durchgeführt, wo mein Englisch-Niveau auf Basis von Lesen, Schreiben, Sprechen und Sprache in Gebrauch auf C1 bestätigt wurde. My name is Mark Sean A. Manubag, and I hold a degree in Chemistry. For the past two years, I’ve been teaching and tutoring high school and college students, mainly in math, chemistry, and physics. I love making complex topics feel simple and approachable for learners at different levels. As a teacher, I am patient, supportive, and goal-oriented. I believe in guiding students step by step until they feel confident in themselves. One of my strengths is breaking down difficult concepts into clear, relatable ideas. Seeing students progress—from struggling on quizzes to celebrating their own achievements—is what inspires me to teach. My teaching style is interactive and student-centered. I enjoy connecting lessons to real-life examples, whether through cooking, music, or everyday situations, so that learning feels both meaningful and fun. I’ve found that when students can relate to a topic, they learn faster and remember it longer. Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading, exploring different genres of music, and learning languages. At the moment, I’m studying Italian, which helps me stay in touch with the challenges of being a learner myself. That perspective allows me to connect more deeply with my students and encourage them to see learning as a lifelong skill. Teaching, for me, is about helping students discover their own potential. I want my learners to not only improve their grades but also develop the confidence and curiosity that will benefit them well beyond the classroom. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. During my studies, I gained extensive training in laboratory instrumentation, including GCMS, FTIR, AAS, and UV-Vis, and completed internships with the Food and Drug Administration of the Philippines, the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, and the Philippine–Japan Active Carbon Corporation. My undergraduate thesis focused on the spectrophotometric determination of phenolics from plant extracts, which strengthened my background in analytical chemistry. After graduation, I successfully passed the Philippine Licensure Examination for Chemists in September 2014. Alongside my academic journey, I began working as a freelance tutor between 2012 and 2014, supporting high school and college students in mathematics, chemistry, and other sciences. Many of the students I taught came from institutions with advanced science and math programs, while others needed help building foundational understanding. Through one-on-one lessons, I developed a teaching approach that emphasized patience, step-by-step guidance, and real-life applications, helping students not only grasp concepts but also build confidence in their own abilities. This tutoring experience deepened my passion for education and showed me the impact of making complex topics simple and engaging. I take pride in seeing students’ progress—from struggling on exams to achieving strong results. Teaching continues to be a meaningful part of my career, complementing my professional work as a chemist by allowing me to share knowledge and inspire curiosity in the sciences.
