I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, major in Mathematics, and have completed 42 units toward a Master of Arts in Teaching, also majoring in Mathematics. I have been teaching Mathematics for eight years, specializing in subjects such as Geometry, Algebra, Trigonometry, Probability, Statistics, General Mathematics, Abstract Algebra, and Pre-Calculus. One of my most meaningful accomplishments was leading a three-year intervention project for junior high school students who were struggling in Mathematics. Through consistent guidance and strategic teaching approaches, the program was a success—students showed significant improvement and were able to pass their Math subjects. Teaching Mathematics has always been my passion. I believe that with the right guidance and encouragement, every student can build confidence and develop a genuine appreciation for learning math. I love helping students realize that math isn’t just about numbers—it’s about problem-solving, logic, and creative thinking. What excites me most is seeing students go from saying, “I’m not good at math,” to confidently declaring, “I can actually do this!” That moment of transformation is why I teach. Math is everywhere—in nature, art, and technology—and showing students those connections makes learning both meaningful and fun. In my lessons, I focus on making math understandable, practical, and engaging. I break down concepts into clear, manageable steps and use real-world examples so students can see how math applies to everyday life. About Me Hello! My name is Mary Ann Suizo, and I am a dedicated and passionate educator with a love for fostering growth and curiosity in students. I have always believed in the transformative power of education, and my goal is to create an engaging, supportive, and inclusive environment where every student feels empowered to succeed. With experience in Mathematics areas such as General Mathematics and Statistics and Probability, also in Science for General Physics 1 and 2, I aim to inspire a love of learning and develop critical thinking skills that students can carry with them throughout their lives. Outside the classroom, I enjoy playing Lawn Tennis as my sports and Reading and Studying nonfiction books especially an inspirational and motivational true to life journey which help me stay balanced and bring fresh perspectives to my teaching. Education I hold a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and a Post-Baccalaureate in Teacher Education with a major in Mathematics.
