Hello! I’m Teacher Kolleen, a passionate and dedicated educator with seven years of teaching and tutoring experience. I have had the privilege of teaching a wide range of subjects—Math, English, and Science for primary and lower secondary students, as well as Music, Arts, and Computer Technology at the upper secondary level. My greatest motivation comes from witnessing those “Aha!” moments when students finally grasp challenging concepts. I particularly enjoy guiding learners through mathematics, and I have successfully helped both local and international students prepare for assessments such as the National Achievement Test (NAT). My teaching approach is dynamic, student-centered, and engaging. I adapt to each learner’s unique needs by incorporating visual aids, charts, and digital tools for visual learners. I make lessons meaningful by connecting academic concepts to real-life examples and integrating interactive activities like puzzles, word hunts, and Sudoku to sustain interest and curiosity. For example, when teaching Linear Functions—a topic students often find abstract—I relate it to everyday experiences, such as calculating a taxi fare. This helps them understand slope and y-intercept intuitively before translating them into equations, tables, and graphs. By combining hands-on examples, visuals, and guided practice, I help students gain confidence and clarity. Outside the classroom, I nurture my creativity through music and art—I love singing, painting, and playing the piano, guitar, and ukulele. I’m eager to bring my enthusiasm and expertise to your team to help students thrive. Hello, I’m Teacher Kolleen, and I’d like to share a bit about my educational background and professional training. I graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Elementary Education, major in General Education. During my undergraduate years, I was an Academic Excellence Awardee, a Dean’s Lister, and a scholar under the Tulong Pang-Edukasyon para sa Bulakenyo program. I also served as Treasurer of the COEd-Generalist Society and worked as a student assistant at the College of Science and Mathematics. To further enhance my leadership and management skills, I am currently completing my thesis for the Master of Arts in Educational Management at Bulacan State University Graduate School, having already finished 39 academic units. I also continue to expand my knowledge through online learning. At the University of the Philippines Open University, I completed micro courses in Graphic Design and Typography, Business Analytics, and Technology for Teaching and Learning. In addition, I trained with Canva Design School, taking up programs such as AI in the Classroom, Graphic Design Essentials, and Teaching Essentials. Over the years, I’ve also developed strong skills in online teaching, Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace, Adobe Suites, and Canva Professional. As a Licensed Professional Teacher, I believe that continuous learning and innovation are key to empowering today’s learners and preparing them for the future.

Hallo, ich bin Ella, 21 Jahre alt & Lehramtsstudentin für Englisch und Latein! 👩‍🏫 Zurzeit bin ich in meinem 7. Semester und durfte daher schon einiges an Erfahrung in meinen Praktika sammeln. Durch mein Studium bringe ich nicht nur fundiertes Fachwissen mit, sondern auch pädagogische Methoden, um den Lernstoff verständlich und individuell angepasst zu vermitteln. Ich liebe meine Fächer und hoffe, meine Freude eventuell etwas übertragen zu können. 🧩 In den Nachhilfestunden versuche ich geduldig auf die einzelnen Baustellen der SchülerInnen einzugehen, bei diesen gezielt nachzuhelfen und und sie zusammen zu meistern. Egal, ob Unterstützung bei bestimmten Themen gebraucht wird, wir gemeinsam Übungen durchgehen oder Zusatzaufgaben zusammen bewältigen - ich helfe gerne weiter. 😊Ich freue mich darauf, euch auf eurem Lernweg zu begleiten! 🎯Ex nihilo nihil fit!🎯 Ich habe 8 Jahre lang eine Allgemeinbildende Höhere Schule in Österreich besucht und habe die Matura mit ausgezeichnetem Erfolg bestanden. In den Fächern Englisch und Latein bin ich sowohl schriftlich als auch mündlich angetreten und konnte beide Fächer mit einem "Sehr Gut" absolvieren. Derzeit befinde ich mich im 7. Semester des Lehramtsstudiums.

Ich reite gerne, lese viele Bücher und zeichne in meiner Freizeit Bilder. Außerdem verbringe ich Zeit in der Natur um dort Fotos zu machen. Ich besitze ein großes Herz für Tiere, unter anderem für Katzen, Pferde und Meerschweinchen. Im Nachhilfeunterricht ist es mir wichtig, das zu Lernende so lange ins Detail zu zerlegen, bis keine Unklarheiten mehr da sind. Zuletzt bin ich in die Bafep7 gegangen und habe meine Matura als Kindergartenpädagogin abgeschlossen. Nach einem Jahr Arbeit im Kindergarten habe ich mich dazu entschieden mein Studium als Lehrperson für die Volksschule zu starten. Seit drei Jahren arbeite ich als Pädagogische Betreuung im Bereich der Begabtenförderung.
