As a Guidance Counselor, I had the privilege of supporting students' personal, academic, and social development. I facilitated individual and group counseling sessions, working closely with students to address their challenges and develop strategies for resilience and growth. My role also involved collaborating with parents and teachers to create tailored interventions that promoted the holistic development of each student. I am particularly passionate about fostering mental health awareness and empowering young individuals to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential. Currently, I apply my skills as an Online ESL Teacher, helping non-native speakers improve their English proficiency. In this role, I develop engaging lesson plans tailored to students' learning needs and goals. I focus on creating a supportive and interactive environment that encourages confidence in speaking, writing, and comprehension. This experience has further enhanced my ability to communicate effectively across cultures, adapt to diverse learning styles, and motivate students to succeed. I graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in Mathematics, in 2013 and later completed a Master of Education in Mathematics in 2018. With a decade of teaching experience, I am dedicated to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages students to reach their full academic potential. I utilize a variety of instructional techniques and materials, including online resources, to accommodate diverse learning styles and ensure that each student has the tools they need to succeed. My approach focuses on guiding students toward their educational goals, whether transitioning to postsecondary education, pursuing vocational paths, or achieving personal growth. I continuously assess and document both the academic and social progress of my students, maintaining thorough records and analyzing data to inform my teaching strategies. Sono una studentessa di Medicina al quinto anno, ho conseguito il diploma al Liceo Scientifico. Ho varie esperienze di tutoraggio con ragazzi di diverse fasce di età, il mio obiettivo principale è quello di far appassionare i ragazzi alla materia, presentandola con chiarezza, semplicità e utilizzando strumenti come immagini, mappe concettuali, brainstorming, PPT, presentazioni online (es. Prezi) e molto altro. Essendo una studentessa molto giovane, è abbastanza facile e spontaneo per me, immedesimarmi nello studente, comprendendo e prevedendo le possibili difficoltà che il ragazzo potrebbe riscontrare durante il percorso di studi, dunque la mia prerogativa è quella di eliminare ogni forma di barriera tra me e i ragazzi, mettendo quest'ultimi totalmente a loro agio. Infine aggiungo che è sempre stata in me la propensione al trapasso delle nozioni e delle conoscenze agli altri. Penso che la conoscenza confinata in noi e non condivisa, sia fine a se stessa, infine essere di aiuto agli altri è proprio del mio progetto di vita. Ho frequentato e conseguito il diploma al Liceo Scientifico, inoltre durante tali anni ho frequentato per un mese la St. Peter's School a York, Inghilterra e al rientro ho conseguito la Certificazione Cambridge livello B2. Infine attualmente sono al quarto anno della facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia all'Università di Catania.
