Hi, I’m Elaine Bereña, and I specialize in teaching Mathematics. My teaching journey began as part of my return of service for the scholarship I received during my college years. During that time, I taught various Math subjects, including General Mathematics, Pre-Calculus, Basic Calculus, and Statistics and Probability. In addition to my classroom experience, I also provided tutoring services for college students in higher-level mathematics courses, such as Calculus. Currently, I work as a freelance chat-based tutor, continuing to support students with their learning needs in Mathematics. The satisfaction I feel when a student grasps a challenging concept is incredibly rewarding. I take great pride in contributing to each student’s academic growth, and I view teaching as a reciprocal experience—helping students develop while constantly learning and evolving myself. As an educator, I am passionate about creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. My goal is to make students feel comfortable and confident, encouraging them to share their hobbies, interests, and personal experiences. I incorporate these elements into lessons and practice problems, making the learning process more relatable, enjoyable, and aligned with their unique passions. I hold a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Batangas State University – The National Engineering University in the Philippines. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience in both teaching and the Electrical Engineering industry, with a particular focus on renewable energy. My career spans various roles in engineering, project management, strategic planning, and teaching, equipping me with a versatile skill set and a deep understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of the field. In addition to my technical expertise, I am passionate about bridging the gap between theory and real-world applications, ensuring that students not only develop strong academic foundations but also acquire the practical skills and insights needed to excel in their careers. I believe in providing students with a well-rounded learning experience that prepares them for the dynamic challenges of the engineering world, particularly in emerging sectors like renewable energy. As I continue to grow professionally, I look forward to further contributing to the academic community, sharing my knowledge, and learning from others to enhance both my teaching and industry practice.

Ich heiße Anna, bin 24 Jahre alt und studiere Sonderpädagogik im Master an der Pädagogischen Hochschule Heidelberg. In meiner Freizeit mache ich viel Sport, treffe mich gerne mit Freunden und bin viel draußen. Als Person würde ich mich sehr offen und kontaktfreudig beschreiben und mag es gerne neue Leute kennenzulernen. Ich habe den Bachelor (1,7) an der Pädagogischen Hochschule Heidelberg abgeschlossen und befinde mich aktuell im Master. Seit ich 16 Jahre alt bin gebe ich regelmäßig Nachhilfe in Mathematik und Deutsch. Außerdem unterrichte ich jedes Jahr in den Sommerferien in einem internationalen Sprachcamp.

Hallo! Ich bin René Höger, 47 Jahre alt und Vate von zwei Kindern (Emily und Joshua). Von Beruf bin ich Informatiker und arbeite in der Softwareentwicklung. Meine Hobbies sind CNC-Technik, Modellbau und Mikrokontrollerentwicklung. Ich interessiere mich für neue Programmiersprachen und mir macht es Spass mein gelerntes weiter zu geben sei es Mathematik, Physik oder Informatik. Mein Abitur habe ich an der Ludwig-Geissler-Schule in Hanau gemacht. An der TU-Darmstadt habe ich meinen B.Sc. Informatik abgeschlossen. Bei meinen bisherigen Arbeitgebern habe ich den dortigen Auszubildenden bei Fragegestellungen im Bereich Mathematik und Informatik zur Seite gestanden. In meinem Modellbauverein habe ich Jugendgruppen geleitet und u.a. auch die mathematischen und physikalischen Hintergründe des Flugmodellbau's erklärt. Nachhilfe habe ich bisher nur in kleinem Kreis auf Nachfrage gegeben, oder bei Kindern von Freunden und / oder Bekannten.

ABOUT ME Hi, I’m Hermie. As an educator who loves to meet students from diverse backgrounds, I have had the opportunity to teach people from different countries and embrace their cultures. I'm an explorer who loves to travel and connect with nature. I put my utmost effort in making learning fun and engaging to all. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, which has given me a strong foundation in problem-solving, creativity, and analytical thinking. However, my passion for teaching led me to pursue a TESOL certification from the American TESOL Institute. This certification has equipped me with the specialized skills and methodologies needed to effectively conduct lessons. By combining my academic background and my TESOL training, I am able to approach teaching with a unique perspective, drawing on my diverse skill set to create engaging, structured lessons.
