Hi! My name is Melissa. :) I tutor: -Any year of English/Scottish curriculum primary school. -Years 7-11 English curriculum high school. -S1-5 Scottish curriculum high school (including National 5 and Higher) I have been a tutor with GoStudent for two years, tutoring high school and primary school students. Previously, I was an assistant in a Pupil Support English class for a year. I assisted students in various ways, such as helping them to read, write and create stories. I enjoy reading and writing and have done most of my life. I know how crucial a particular teacher or method can be to a student. I hope to be that for people like others have been for me. I am going into my third year of university, studying English Studies. I received all unconditional offers. I achieved an A in National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher English. I have a 120+ hour TEFL qualification which allows me to teach English as a foreign language online, in this country, or abroad. This qualification included 50-hr TEFL, 30-hr Grammar & Language Awareness, 20-hr Video Observation, 10-hr Telephone Teaching and 10-hr Teaching Large Classes Courses. The telephone teaching section of the course covered online teaching such as making lessons engaging.

Hi, I'm Mona! A little about me; I tutor Primary and GCSE-level students in English. Right now, I'm more focused on GCSE students. I have in-depth knowledge in English literature from Shakespearean plays like Macbeth to War and Conflict Poems, and more. I'm fluent in English, write a lot, and I absolutely love creative writing so that comes in handy when guiding students through revision for the English Language Paper. I'm also familiar with exam boards such as AQA, Edexcel, and Eduqas. What I love most about my tutoring sessions is that from the onset, my students and I try to make learning not feel like a chore. We strive to not only achieve the educational goals we set out but we make it so that the main objective is to learn and understand, not just pass a test. I am currently in University for my Bachelor's but I graduated from the equivalent of UK A-Levels with honours. My curriculum was English, Arts, and Humanities-centered so I had subjects such as Media and Information Literacy, Research Writing, Creative Fiction and Non-Fiction, Contemporary Art, etc. I used to write for a travel blog and was the assistant to the managerial editor of a newspaper company so I proofread, edited, and wrote articles a lot.
