Hello everyone! I'm Teacher Sheila and I'm excited to be your math teacher this year! Math can be challenging, but it's also a powerful tool for solving real-world problems and thinking critically. I graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in Mathematics, in 2013 and later completed a Master of Education in Mathematics in 2018. With a decade of teaching experience, I am dedicated to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages students to reach their full academic potential. I utilize a variety of instructional techniques and materials, including online resources, to accommodate diverse learning styles and ensure that each student has the tools they need to succeed. My approach focuses on guiding students toward their educational goals, whether transitioning to postsecondary education, pursuing vocational paths, or achieving personal growth. I continuously assess and document both the academic and social progress of my students, maintaining thorough records and analyzing data to inform my teaching strategies. To keep parents and guardians involved, I communicate regularly through multiple channels and hold conferences as needed to discuss individual progress, aligning with school requirements and ensuring a collaborative approach to each student's development.

Hi my name is Stuart Smith. I have completed 19 years of successful teaching. I have gained experience of teaching years 7 to 11 Science and several years teaching A levels in Chemistry and Physics. Recently I was an examiner for Cambridge A level Chemistry. I have used my experience to develop a dynamic positive teaching style. Across the academic spectrum students find popular science in the media engaging and I make full use of this. Before coming into teaching I enjoyed many years working in the Shipbuilding Industry. This invaluable experience has enabled me to have knowledge of life outside the classroom and has enabled me to form a more rounded character. This has benefited work as a tutor as well as strengthening my ability as a team player. I have A levels in Biology, Chemistry , Physics and Mathematics. I studied BSc Chemistry at The University of Bristol and went on to study a PGCE in Science at The University of Bristol. A large coponent of my degree course included Chemistry , Physics and Mathematics.

Second year physics student at Lancaster university. Active in the Doctor Who society, though not knowledgeable enough to take part in the whoniversity challenge. Also the proud owner of several plants which are surviving surprisingly well; and I always seem to have a couple of creative projects on the go. Currently in my second year studying physics at Lancaster University. I sat AQA A-level Physics in June 2023 and also did A-level edexcel courses in Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. In 2022 I did a 10 week course of helping year 5s complete experiments and teaching them about the scientific method

With six years of experience as an engineer in a Japanese multinational company, I’ve had the opportunity to live in Japan, Thailand, and Germany. Chatting with people from all walks of life? Yep, that’s my jam! 🌏😃 I'm TEFL-certified and have been teaching English, Math, Physics, and basic Japanese part-time online for several years. Currently, I teach KS3 / GCSE / IGCSE Maths for SATs, AQA, OCR, Edexcel, and CAIE exam boards. Throughout elementary and high school, I eagerly represented my school in Math and English (Extemporaneous speech, broadcasting, editorial writing) competitions, which provided me with intensive training and a strong affinity for the subjects. With my engineering background, I also have a solid foundation in college level Physics. Finally, I have Japanese Language Proficiency N3 Level, so I can teach N5-N4 level Japanese to those who are interested in this language.
