I’m a third-year dental student with a passion for teaching. I’ve been tutoring Biology at A-Level and GCSE for over two years, helping students understand complex topics with ease. Outside of academics, I enjoy going to the gym and boxing, always striving for self-improvement—both physically and mentally which i am to provide to my students. I attended George Dixon Academy for secondary school, achieving an 8 in Biology and chemistry at GCSE. I then studied at Birmingham Tuition Centre, earning an A in A-Alevel Chemistry and an A* in A-Level Biology. Currently, I am in my third year of a Master’s in Dental Medicine at Plovdiv Medical University in Bulgaria.

Hi, I’m Elaine Bereña, and I specialize in teaching Mathematics. My teaching journey began as part of my return of service for the scholarship I received during my college years. During that time, I taught various Math subjects, including General Mathematics, Pre-Calculus, Basic Calculus, and Statistics and Probability. In addition to my classroom experience, I also provided tutoring services for college students in higher-level mathematics courses, such as Calculus. Currently, I work as a freelance chat-based tutor, continuing to support students with their learning needs in Mathematics. The satisfaction I feel when a student grasps a challenging concept is incredibly rewarding. I take great pride in contributing to each student’s academic growth, and I view teaching as a reciprocal experience—helping students develop while constantly learning and evolving myself. As an educator, I am passionate about creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. My goal is to make students feel comfortable and confident, encouraging them to share their hobbies, interests, and personal experiences. I hold a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Batangas State University – The National Engineering University in the Philippines. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience in both teaching and the Electrical Engineering industry, with a particular focus on renewable energy. My career spans various roles in engineering, project management, strategic planning, and teaching, equipping me with a versatile skill set and a deep understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of the field. In addition to my technical expertise, I am passionate about bridging the gap between theory and real-world applications, ensuring that students not only develop strong academic foundations but also acquire the practical skills and insights needed to excel in their careers. Primary: Maths 11+ entrance exams: Maths Secondary: Years 7-11 GCSE: Maths (Edexcel) Preferred student age group: Primary/11+/GCSEs I speak English and Tamil fluently and can also understand basic German after completing it for my GCSEs and achieving grade 7. I currently attend university, studying law and economics as a joint honours degree. As well as this, I am an avid athlete, playing netball, swimming and doing athletics as well. I have completed 10 GCSEs, achieving all 8/7s for all my subjects as well as completing my A-Levels, which consisted of Maths, Economics and Chemistry achieving two A's (Maths and Chemistry) as well as a B (Economics).
