I’m a medical student with a passion for teaching Biology, Science, and Maths at primary and GCSE levels. Almost 10 years in higher education, I’ve learned two key things: 1) Every student can succeed with the right teaching approach, and 2) Learning should be active, using techniques like spaced repetition and active recall. I focus on breaking down complex topics, using examples, mnemonics, and past papers to help students understand. I’m patient and adaptable, always ready to find new ways to explain concepts if needed. Outside of academics, I’m passionate about sports, gaming, and tech. I’ve coached an under-15 basketball team and teach guitar at my church, which helps me connect with students and build trust to boost their confidence and performance. I graduated from Glasgow in 2020 with a 2:1 in Biomedical Sciences and am currently pursuing a medical degree. I am also told to have a very easy going personality so I have a great rapport with my students and they find me easy to communicate with and ask me questions. Alongside my A-Levels, I have completed an EPQ in which I earned a B. The question of my research was about meditation, its benefits, and whether it should be made obligatory in school settings. It included investigating, collecting, and summarising primary data and as well as an initiation to implement meditation in my school as part of the well-being program. It gave good results and also spread awareness of this very beneficial practice. Other than that, I have attended courses on leadership as well.
