My name is Katy and I graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Politics & Modern History. I have been living in Spain & France so am fluent in both languages whilst tutoring to a wide range of ages for the past few years. I am calm, interactive and experienced and enjoy working with students to help achieve their goals. I am TEFL certified, and have plenty of experience with all GCSE & A level examination boards. With regards to languages, I am able to support students in all aspects of exam preparation, from reading & writing to speaking & listening. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Modern History & Politics from the University of Manchester in 2021, where I specialised in Russian & Chinese history, as well as Modern African history, whilst including modules in advanced Spanish. I completed the International Baccalaureate where I studied a range of subjects including History, Spanish, French, English literature, Physics and Maths.

I am a TEFL certified teacher with 5 years of teaching experience and have graduated from University and was awarded with an English award as attained the highest English grades across my borough. My love for the English language is contageous and my students learn to also love the subject! I have a very bubbly personality to help my students feel comfortable where they might be shy or nervous taking lessons. At the same time, I have set targets for each of my students and monitor their progress diligently through setting homework and module exams. This works for my students who need that extra push!
