I am a second year medical student at King's College London. I received 4 UK medical offers and have a UCAT score in the 95th percentile with a score of full marks (900) in quantitative reasoning. For my A levels I studied biology, maths, chemistry and undertook an EPQ on 3D bio printing and its role in degenerative medicine. In my free time I enjoy playing tennis and going to the gym. I am fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi. I currently teach biology to students of varying ages whether that be GCSEs or A levels as well as maths to lower years. My name is Arcel, and I’m 29 years old. I'm a Math teacher but I can also teach Science (Biology & Chemistry) and Sociology. I like also playing basketball and guitar—two activities that allow me to express myself creatively and stay active. My journey as an engineering student has been full of exciting opportunities to apply maths and science to real-life projects. This fuels my enthusiasm when I teach, and I love sharing examples from my own work. Recently, I worked with TotalEnergies in France, exploring the valorization of desalination concentrate. One of my favorite projects was producing biodiesel from eggshells, which I showcase when discussing energy in physics. I also had a blast running STEM workshops in Dubai for kids. I'm an active member of AIChE and love participating in physics competitions. I won first prize in "Girls Got It" by building a mini robot with my team and creating a simple pendulum model. I've been tutoring for four years and hold a Master's degree in Industrial Chemistry and Petrochemical Engineering.
