I'm a postgraduate and researcher who is passionate about Sociology and wants other students to become passionate as well!I think it's such a broad subject so everyone can find something that interests them! Outside of working and tutoring I have a huge love for creative hobbies such as books, reading, film, tv and theatre I have a BA in Sociology (1st class), during my education I specialised in Race & Ethnicity, Gender & sexuality, Culture & Identity, Research Methods and many other areas. I also have an MSc in Public Sociology, in which I specialised in the same areas as above but also social media, social activism and social policy. Also I am a qualified Equality and Diversity professional, I have a Level 2 and 3 qualification in Equality and Diversity and I also have a Level 2 in LGBT Inclusion in the workplace. This is something I continue to be passionate about and I am currently working towards my next level. Equality and Diversity is also my full time job outside of tutoring.

Hello! I’m Kyrie Zalyn, an educator with a strong foundation in Psychology and over five years of teaching experience for both English and Math. What drives me as a teacher is my passion for helping students realize their full potential—academically and personally. My approach blends structure with creativity, making learning both meaningful and enjoyable. With a background in psychology, I understand how students think, learn, and stay motivated. I use that knowledge to design lessons that are engaging, interactive, and tailored to each learner’s pace and personality. Whether it’s refining communication skills or solving complex equations, I aim to create a space where students feel confident, curious, and capable. Beyond teaching, I’m a professional chess master and a language enthusiast—constantly learning, just like my students. I believe that the best classrooms are built on connection, encouragement, and growth, and I strive to bring that energy into every session. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. I’m also a certified TEFL teacher with over five years of experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and learning levels. In addition to teaching, I’ve led teams as a chess athlete and coach with a title of "Woman National Master" in the field of chess. Also, I continue to grow by exploring new languages and learning strategies. I believe in creating a classroom where students feel supported, understood, and inspired to reach their goals—one lesson at a time.

Languages: English Experience with disabilities / special needs: I have experience with learners that’s have barriers to learning for example : Dyslexia, ADHD, ADD, Autism and other barriers to learning. I have a Bachelor of Education degree intermediate and senior phase, I did my honours in Inclusive Education and I have 180hour TEFL certificate. I teach in English as this is my first and native language. I am a passionate and experienced teacher. Both in the classroom and online. I have taught children with barriers to learning. I have taught primary subjects such as Maths, English, Natural Sciences, Biology, History and Geography as well as life orientation/life skills.
