About me

Hi! I’m Saarah, a Psychology student at the University of Leicester with a strong passion for understanding how the mind and body work together. What makes me stand out is my unique combination of interests in psychology, maths, and biology. While psychology helps me explore behaviour and mental processes, biology deepens my understanding of the brain, nervous system, and the science behind how we function. Maths, on the other hand, sharpens my analytical skills and helps me approach problems logically. I love how these subjects connect—biology gives me a solid scientific foundation, psychology brings in the human experience, and maths provides the tools to analyse and interpret data. This blend allows me to explain complex ideas in a clear, engaging way. I’m patient, friendly, and alway...

Lower level: Maths GCSE: Maths Experience in tutoring Edexcel GCSE Maths Teaching assistant in Primary Education Hey there! I'm Arabhy, I'm from London and I'm an Economics student at the University of Birmingham. I have been tutoring Maths for three years now, and it's become one of the things I most enjoy. Outside academia, I am an avid swimmer and baker, and I love to read too! I have GCSE certificates awarded in Maths and Level 2 Further Maths, both of which I received a grade 9 in. I completed A level Maths, in which I was awarded an A. I am familiar with the specifications of both AQA and Edexcel. At present, I am a BSc Economics student at the University of Birmingham.

Nice to meet you! I am a medical student at the University of Manchester with a strong interest in education. I achieved top grades at GCSE and A level, and I would love to help you learn effectively. I am an amicable individual who takes pride in my ability to understand, work with and assist others. I look forward to getting to know you and answering any questions you may have! As of 2025, I have been a private tutor for a KS3 student (and I am also able to teach at higher or lower levels, such as KS1, KS2, GCSE and A-Level. I have focused on helping this student consolidate their understanding of core skills; where possible, I also aim to stretch the student's understanding beyond their years, helping them to get ahead in their studies. During sixth form, I took part in a project called Maths Masterclasses, where I helped design and deliver lessons to primary school students. Planning my presentation required careful thought about structure, clarity, and how to challenge the students beyond their curriculum. I also completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), researching how education strategies can be used in children’s medicine to give children and their carers better understanding of health. Techniques like “teach back,” where students explain a topic in their own words, have stuck with me as important tools for reinforcing learning. More informally, I’ve often found myself helping friends understand difficult topics, and I’ve learnt how to adapt my explanations depending on who I’m speaking to. These experiences have made me realise how much I enjoy teaching, especially when I can find the right approach to make a tricky concept click. I try to make sessions engaging but focused, and I’m always thinking about how to present information clearly and logically. Away from study, I really enjoy football - I love playing fantasy league and keeping up with scores. I also like to read non fiction (especially Wikipedia these days!) to broaden my knowledge on a wide range of topics. I look forward to helping students build confidence and enjoy learning as much as possible. I’m here to make our sessions fun, structured, and tailored to your pace, helping to place you on the path to success! I completed my GCSEs at Oulder Hill Leadership Academy, obtaining the highest grade available (9) in Maths, English Language, English Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Computer Science. I then completed my A-levels in 2024, obtaining grade A in Maths, Biology and Chemistry. Alongside my A-levels, I gained a range of casual experience during college. I took part in an extracurricular programme called Maths Masterclasses, where I prepared worksheets and delivered presentations to primary school students, helping stretch their understanding of Maths beyond the standard curriculum. I was also a member of the Virtual Medical Society, working with other aspiring medical students to create presentations on topics such as medical current affairs, admission exams, and aspects of the application process. This helped me develop the ability to communicate with clarity and confidence. In addition, I completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and was awarded an A* for my work. My project, titled The Role of Health Literacy in Preventative Children's Medicine, deepened my understanding of the educational principles used in healthcare and how they can be applied within broader educational contexts.
