My name is Arcel, and I’m 29 years old. I'm a Math teacher but I can also teach Science (Biology & Chemistry) and Sociology. I like also playing basketball and guitar—two activities that allow me to express myself creatively and stay active. Whether it’s on the basketball court or playing my favorite songs, I enjoy the challenge and the connections these hobbies bring. I graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education, Majoring in Mathematics (BSED-Math), and I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Teaching Mathematics. My journey in education is driven by my passion for mathematics and my desire to help students see the beauty in the subject. Teaching is something I’m deeply committed to, and I believe that with patience and the right approach, I can inspire students to develop a love for learning. In terms of character, I would describe myself as persistent and disciplined. I try to approach challenges with a positive attitude and always look for ways to grow, both personally and professionally. I graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in Mathematics (BSED-Math) from Northern Mindanao Colleges Inc. in April 2016. Shortly after, I successfully passed the licensure examination for teachers in September 2016. Currently, I am furthering my education by pursuing a Master’s degree in Teaching Mathematics. My passion for mathematics and my dedication to education drive me to help students discover the beauty and relevance of the subject. Teaching is a profession I am deeply committed to, as I believe it is through education that I can make a lasting impact on students' lives. My goal as an educator is not only to help students master mathematical concepts but also to inspire them to develop a genuine interest in the subject. I understand that many students find math challenging, which is why I believe that patience and the right approach are key to helping them overcome obstacles. Sono un dottorando in Ingegneria Elettrica con l'ambizione di intraprendere la carriera accademica e diventare docente universitario. Durante il mio percorso scolastico e universitario, ho praticato la pallanuoto a livello agonistico, arrivando anche a competere come giocatore professionista. Questa esperienza mi ha insegnato il valore del lavoro di squadra e mi ha reso aperto e collaborativo. Oltre agli impegni accademici e sportivi, mi appassionano la navigazione, le serie TV, la buona cucina e i viaggi. In breve, mi identifico come il classico studente italiano trasferitosi altrove, con interessi diversificati e una fervida curiosità per il mondo che mi circonda. Ho ottenuto il diploma di liceo scientifico a Catania con il massimo dei voti (100/100 e lode). Proseguendo gli studi, mi sono laureato in Ingegneria Industriale presso l'Università di Catania, conseguendo il massimo dei voti (110/110 e lode) nella triennale. In seguito, ho proseguito gli studi a Milano, laureandomi in Ingegneria Elettrica con il massimo dei voti (110/110) presso il Politecnico di Milano. Durante il mio percorso accademico, ho avuto l'opportunità di partecipare a programmi di eccellenza come l'Alta Scuola Politecnica, riservata a 90 studenti selezionati tra tutti gli indirizzi magistrali del Politecnico di Milano. Inoltre, ho svolto un periodo di studi all'estero presso il Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), classificato come la migliore università al mondo, dove ho redatto la mia tesi di laurea magistrale. Attualmente, sono dottorando in Ingegneria Elettrica presso la Columbia University, una rinomata istituzione di New York facente parte delle Ivy League.

Hi, I’m Ernan! With over 20 years of math tutoring experience and a Bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics, I specialize in helping students at the GCSE and A-level. Hi, I’m Nicole, an energetic and passionate English teacher! I love helping students learn language in interesting and creative ways. I use engaging discussions, interactive activities, and hands-on projects to help them connect with the lessons and express themselves confidently. My goal is to build a classroom environment that is fun, inclusive, and encouraging for every learner. I believe that learning should be meaningful and enjoyable, and I do my best to make each class exciting and supportive. In my free time, I enjoy watching musical theatre shows and Broadway musicals, spending time with my dog, and volunteering with an organization dedicated to rescuing and caring for stray animals.
