Hi, I’m Elaine Bereña, and I specialize in teaching Mathematics. My teaching journey began as part of my return of service for the scholarship I received during my college years. During that time, I taught various Math subjects, including General Mathematics, Pre-Calculus, Basic Calculus, and Statistics and Probability. In addition to my classroom experience, I also provided tutoring services for college students in higher-level mathematics courses, such as Calculus. Currently, I work as a freelance chat-based tutor, continuing to support students with their learning needs in Mathematics. The satisfaction I feel when a student grasps a challenging concept is incredibly rewarding. I take great pride in contributing to each student’s academic growth, and I view teaching as a reciprocal experience—helping students develop while constantly learning and evolving myself. As an educator, I am passionate about creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. My goal is to make students feel comfortable and confident, encouraging them to share their hobbies, interests, and personal experiences. I hold a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Batangas State University – The National Engineering University in the Philippines. My career spans various roles in engineering, project management, strategic planning, and teaching, equipping me with a versatile skill set and a deep understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of the field. Hallo, ich bin Amelie und lebe derzeit in Wien und mache mein Lehramt Studium mit den Fächern Mathematik und Sport. Nebenbei bin ich bei Sportvereinen engagiert und helfe dort sowohl als Trainerin, als auch als Organisatorin aus. Natürlich betreibe ich dann auch verschiedene Sportarten und sammle damit viele Erfahrungen. In meinen ruhigen, erholenden Phasen lese und backe ich gerne;) Ich war 8 Jahre in einem Sportrealgymnasium und habe dort auch meine Matura abgeschossen. Danach habe ich mich auf den MedAt vorbereitet, bin aber leider nicht aufgenommen worden. Dadurch, dass ich in meinen Schulzeiten einigen Nachhilfe gegeben habe und mir es eigentlich Freude bereitet hat, anderen Leuten zu helfen und zu motivieren sich Hindernissen zu stellen, habe ich mich dann für das Lehramt Studium entschieden und finde es bis heute eine gute Wahl:)
