Outside of tutoring, I love 💻 coding, ⚽ sports, and 💪 working hard — and I bring that same energy and motivation into my lessons I am currently an undergraduate Computing student at the University of Greater Manchester. Before starting my degree, I completed my GCSEs with a strong focus on mathematics, then progressed through a Foundation Year in Computing, which built my skills in maths, logic, and problem-solving and prepared me for degree-level study.

I’m passionate about teaching and problem-solving. I keep learning new techniques to solve the problems and help students in growing their area. I specialise in Maths and Physics at both primary and secondary school levels. I’ve spent years helping classmates during my own studies and guiding my own children up to GCSE levels to improve their grades. I completed my school and university education from India and I am a Engineering graduate in Computer Science. I have worked with global corporates in IT sector. As part of my academics subjects Maths and Physics have been always my favourite and I scored A* (UK equivalent) in both.

Hello! I'm a passionate and dedicated tutor currently pursuing my MSc in Financial Mathematics at the University of Birmingham. Previously, I was working full-time as a Quantitative Analyst at a Market Maker / Hedge Fund and spent time working in Venture Capital also. My journey into the world of advanced mathematics has been driven by a relentless desire to understand complex systems from the ground up, a mindset I'm excited to share with my students. Trireme Market Maker, Quantitative Analyst Internship, Jun-Jun 2024: • Gathered data from 5+ APIs, such as MEXC, Gate.IO and Kucoin for future listing volume forecasting on the previously mentioned CEXs and employed Python multiprocessing libraries and utilised vectorisation with NumPy and Pandas to efficiently clean and standardise data. • Built and deployed high-accuracy volume prediction models (Random Forest and XGBoost) for the first 5, 15 and 30 minutes of trading on newly listed client tokens, providing valuable insights for traders. • Built and deployed 2, 3 and 4 state Hidden Markov Models to forecast the future state/market regime of Bitcoin to understand the state distributions of each given state with the goal of determining the correlations between states. J.P Morgan Chase & Co, Quantitative Researcher Internship, Jul 2023-Aug 2023: • Supported with research in interest rate derivatives trading across EMEA and APAC markets, focusing on options pricing models and volatility surface construction for complex derivative instruments including caps, floors, and swaptions. • Collaborated on non-linear rates product development and risk management, implementing statistical models and time series analysis to support trading strategies and hedge effectiveness testing for interest rate exposure. • Conducted daily market data analysis and model validation processes, utilising Python and statistical libraries to maintain pricing accuracy and risk metrics for the derivatives book.

I have worked as a lecturer at De Montfort University for over 15 years. I hold a PGCE in further Education, an MA in English Language Teaching, and a BA honours in English. I taught English for Academic Purposes at university. This enabled me to develop various teaching approaches at different levels of English usage. I have also taught KS3-KS5 in the UK and abroad during which I have been observed several times and demonstrated that I was outstanding. I have used various teaching aids ranging from pictures, flash cards, to a variety of IT techniques. I have also used peer interaction and assessment to develop learners. Teaching at university enabled me to teach presentation skills. This has enabled me to do the same during training, coaching and mentoring sessions with colleagues. I have mentored a number of tutors. In my experience as a university lecturer I have used a variety of online platforms to teach students during the Covid-19 pandemic. I began my journey into English in 2002 when I did a BA (hons) in English at Demontfort university. Following this I did an MA in Children’s Literature in 2005 due to my immense love of reading. However, it was only when I landed a job at a resources centre that I decided to specialize in teaching and so I did a PGCE in education and an MA in English language teaching both in 2007-2009. I absolutely love teaching since then - as cliche as it sounds it is truly my passion and the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. I love my students and to see them excel truly makes me content. I’ve been told that I have a gift for building a rapport with learners and I to feel this is something that comes naturally to me because as a student I myself struggled with being misunderstood and branded as a ‘bad student’. I feel as a result I can relate to students and their struggles more easily. I’m also very patient and an excellent listener.
