I'm literally so overjoyed to have had the amazing opportunity to join GoStudent as a tutor back in April 2023 and I just wanted to elaborate further on my academic and in addition extracurricular skills which have equipped me greatly to be able to shine a light on my own capabilities as well as my weaknesses at this time! I think that I have developed my communication skills via group work with the rest of the tutors and programme coordinators and also have had the privilege to really just go into further detail about what actually makes me tick and I really appreciate how supportive everyone has been in terms of my development and progress thus far. But how about he excitement of sharing a wonderful session with my tutees? We usually discuss the relevance of outside-of-the-box thinking and how phenomenal it is when the student and their loved ones get to choose what will happen during the lesson itself and also set the standards regarding the content to be covered so the sessions are usually quite fun and engaging to be honest! :-) I really enjoyed my time at the UCL School of Pharmacy while studying for the MPharm degree and I am just waiting to be able to sit some deferred final year exams and graduate hopefully quite soon following a recent gap year actually. I did graduate with a first in MSci in Pharmaceutical Studies back in October 2022. Now I am just in the process of applying for medical school and tend to spend my free time on either reading novels, playing the keyboard or making artsy-craftsy notes which will hopefully contribute towards a revision blog that I am starting to establish. I also like going for walks and exploring all sorts of new exciting places within London. I did of course go to Exeter medical school back in 2017 and left (for personal reasons such as the PBL structure of the course) before joining UCL in 2018. This means I am quite agile when it comes to things like discussing interview techniques and CV requirements if needed for individual students. I also tend to motivate my tutees to stay and CONTINUE with what they are doing rather than back away, especially in the face of challenges! This is because I myself wish I hadn't left medicine and now am re-applying so it indicates my perseverence and understanding of the new and surprising aspects of the course! ;)

Education: BSC in mechanical engineeering at Swansea university GCSE: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, English, Bangla, Economics, Additional Maths A levels- Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Economics Languages- English, Bangla Exam board experience- Edexcel, AQA, OCR-A/B, National 5, WJEC Preffered Student age group- Secondary, GCSE, A levels I love football, music, travelling and hiking. If you had to describe me concisely, I am an adrenaline junkie who loves imparting his knowledge and learning from others. I love teaching and provide students the utmost care and attention in order to bring the best out of them and mould them into the better version of them holistically. I have an experience of teaching students of 4 years with the students ranging from being GCSE to A levels. I have taught Physics, Chemistry, Economics and Maths to students in both A levels and GCSE. My students have all gone to achieve 7s and above in the respective subjects that I teach. My classes are usually fun and interactive and not all about studies all the time, as we learn about many things besides the book knowledge in class. Other than that, because I am in university, I usually can relate to my students and understand them as I also fall under their generational demographic compared to much older teachers. I have graduated from the Aga Khan School. It was an English medium school where I passed my A levels and GCSE from, with distinction. I got 3A* and one A on the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Economics respectively. Currently, I am studying mechanical engineering in Swansea university, and hope to make a difference in the world as I hone my skillset and fill my mind with knowledge.

Hi there! I have over 4 years experience tutoring a range of subjects. My specialties are maths, physics, chemistry and Spanish, which I've mostly taught at A-Level and GCSE tiers. I have a BA in mathematics which I studied alongside tutoring, so I can appreciate teaching from both sides of the classroom. Much of my experience revolves around helping students to prepare for exams, and working through past papers together is an invaluable tool for this. I'm also very passionate about my subjects, with STEM I've always had a deep personal interest in how the Universe works, and I've always loved Spain and seeing how the logic in different languages works. I enjoy explaining what I know to others, which puts me in a good position to be a tutor. It's also great to see students progressing over time. My tutoring method is based around giving the student the tools they need and guiding them to solve problems themselves, rather than simply being told the answers. I believe this process helps students to learn how to think critically, and thus become more independent and able to solve problems on their own in the future. Some of my hobbies include hiking with my dog, learning languages and exploring new places! BA in mathematics

Greetings, pleased to e-meet you! I'm a devout maths and physics enjoyer. But don't be fooled by my academic pursuits, for I'm also a lover of history and all things fantastical! My heart beats with excitement for European history, with a dash of far east Asian flair, and I've got an insatiable thirst for knowledge on modern Turkey, Germany, and Russia! I've journeyed through different phases of history, from the grand days of the Roman Republic and the legendary tales of Julius Caesar, to the explosive French Revolution, and even the epic battles of the Napoleonic Wars. But my current quest is to uncover the secrets of the 20th Century, and I'm determined to discover its hidden treasures! And when I'm not busy unravelling the mysteries of time, you can find me wielding my mighty dice as the dungeon master (overseer of games) of Dungeons and Dragons! For over four years, I've crafted immersive campaigns in two worlds, filled with colourful characters and thrilling adventures! Consequently, I've even been imbued with the power to create spinning tales that will entrance and captivate all who read them! But that's not all, dear reader! My love for fantasy and strategy doesn't stop there! I've been enchanted by the epic adventures from Middle-Earth namely The Lord of the Rings since I was but a young hobbit (4ish), and my father's grand strategy games have taught me to master the art of video games. I still indulge in strategic games to this day, and chess is always a favourite. And let's not forget about music! My appreciation for classical music has led me down the path of the piano. With diligent practice, I've learned to play any song that tickles my fancy with ease. So, come on, let's embark on an adventure of a lifetime! 4th Year Mathematical Physics University Student A-Levels: - Mathematics (Edexcel) - A* - Physics (AQA) - A* - Chemistry (AQA) - A GCSEs: Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, History, Geography, Business Studies, English Language, English Literature, French, Art All qualifications have been completed in the United Kingdom

My journey as an engineering student has been full of exciting opportunities to apply maths and science to real-life projects. This fuels my enthusiasm when I teach, and I love sharing examples from my own work. Recently, I worked with TotalEnergies in France, exploring the valorization of desalination concentrate. One of my favorite projects was producing biodiesel from eggshells, which I showcase when discussing energy in physics. I also had a blast running STEM workshops in Dubai for kids. I'm an active member of AIChE and love participating in physics competitions. I won first prize in "Girls Got It" by building a mini robot with my team and creating a simple pendulum model. I'm passionate about science and STEM, and I strive to show my students how thrilling these subjects can be! My name is Karen, and I'm a dedicated tutor for maths and science. I've been tutoring for four years and hold a Master's degree in Industrial Chemistry and Petrochemical Engineering. I achieved A*/A grades at GCSE in mathematics and physics, and an A in A-Level maths. I've always enjoyed school and hope to share that passion with my students! I teach A Level maths and physics, and I also specialize in chemistry, French, maths, and physics at Lower Level and GCSE levels. I have a C1 level in French, a favorite hobby of mine since I started lessons at six. Over the years, I've become very familiar with the content and perfected my teaching methods to ensure the best results, no matter the time frame. Teaching is a true passion for me. It's incredibly fulfilling to help students achieve their goals, whether they love the subject or just need to pass.

We have been with Go Student for 18 months and have been impressed from first contact. Initially Ross from Go Student spent an hour on the phone with me discussing my child’s needs academically, but also wanting to know about her social needs, her hobbies, what makes her happy, her loves and dislikes, everything. I’m sure it was this attention to detail that led us to Megan O’Brien who is THE most amazing tutor! She has helped guide my child through her academic needs and has also helped to engage, build confidence and enjoy her lessons both online and in school. We have seen huge progress since before when we were extremely worried about how lockdown had interrupted my child’s learning so early into her school career. Megan is incredibly adaptable to my child’s moods, can help bring her concentration back in line, which is quite a skill through a computer screen. A friend has signed her child up with GS due to my recommendation and is also really happy. Brilliant service.

Physics tutoring to improve grades and self-confidence
Poor performance at school is often due to low self-confidence rather than a lack of effort or competence, a fact which is often overlooked. In addition, teachers at school rarely have time to stop a lesson and repeat the concepts for those who didn’t understand, leading students to fall behind in their work.
This is where a private physics tutor can step in. They can explain topics in different ways and adapt their teaching style to suit each student.
Physics tuition allows students to take their time and ask questions about concepts they are not sure of. This leads to increased confidence in their abilities and better results in their exams.
The advantages of studying physics
Physics is a branch of physical science that involves the study of matter and its motion and behaviour through time and space, along with related concepts such as energy and force. It is the foundation of many scientific subjects and is a fundamental area of research when it comes to understanding the universe.
A sound knowledge of physics can give access to a number of different careers, such as:
In fact, following the completion of a bachelor's degree in physics, many people go on to study disciplines such as business, law or medicine. Generally, a technical background in physics is useful in any profession that combines science with another field.
What topics can be covered in online physics classes with a qualified tutor?
Our physics tutors have a wide range of different specialties and can cover topics from the GCSE curriculum such as:
Our physics tutors can also tackle some of the more complex topics at higher levels including:
Physics exam preparation and physics revision classes

Whether your child is studying for a Physics GCSE or A level in England and Wales, a Leaving Cert (Northern Ireland and Ireland) or the National 3,4,5 Higher or Advanced Higher in Scotland, we will have a physics tutor who knows the curriculum well.
If you’re short on time, a physics tutor can help your child quickly learn the essentials as well as teach them effective learning strategies. They can also devise a learning plan that ensures your child stays on schedule.
Is private Physics tuition affordable?
Your child can get Physics tuition for as low as £21.99 per session. The price of each private tuition session depends on how regularly and for how long your child takes tuition with us. Book a free trial session with us and you can find out how affordable private tuition with GoStudent can be for you.
Does GoStudent offer private tuition in subjects other than Physics?
As well as private Physics tuition, GoStudent can help your child with 40+ other subjects. Pick from many subjects including Biology, Latin, French. And with GoStudent your child isn't tied into one subject.
