I believe that I'm a very positive person that has an enthusiastic perspective on life. I get a great sense of achievement from seeing my students develop and grow as individuals. As a medical student with over six years of tutoring experience and more than 5000 online sessions, I specialize in teaching the Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English Literature and Language, Computer Science, History, Geography, French. My lessons are dynamic, engaging, and tailored to meet the specific needs of each child, resulting in a high success rate for students passing these exams. I employ an adaptive teaching style that combines elements of dialogic teaching, scaffolding, and personalized instruction. Before each lesson, I meticulously prepare by reviewing the student's progress, assessing their strengths and areas for improvement, and aligning the content with their learning goals. This targeted approach enables me to provide effective instruction and address any gaps in understanding. Utilizing a range of resources such as textbooks, visual aids, online materials, and interactive exercises, I cater to diverse learning styles and maintain a stimulating learning experience. By fostering a supportive environment, I aim to nurture critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a deeper conceptual understanding. This approach, combined with my specialization in the Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English Literature and Language, Computer Science, History, Geography, French, has resulted in a high success rate for students achieving their desired grade. Between lessons, I emphasize independent learning and practice, providing supplementary materials, recommending relevant resources, and suggesting exercises to consolidate knowledge. I expect students to take ownership of their learning journey, dedicating time outside of our sessions to review, practice, and apply the concepts learned. By doing so, they not only reinforce their understanding but also develop self-discipline and resilience, which contribute to their success in the targeted exams. In summary, my specialized tutoring in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English Literature and Language, Computer Science, History, Geography, French, combined with an adaptive teaching style, active engagement, personalized instruction, and a focus on critical thinking, ensures a high success rate for students passing these exams. Naomi G.

Hi, I’m Naomi, a passionate and supportive tutor currently studying Economics and Geography at the University of St Andrews. I achieved all 9s at GCSE, including Maths and Further Maths, and all A*s in A-level Economics, Maths, Geography, and EPQ. I’ve been tutoring since I was 14 and have over five years of experience working with students aged 4 to 17. I specialise in Maths, Economics, and Geography, offering support from early learning and 11+ preparation through to GCSE and A-level exam success. My lessons are interactive, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs. I place a strong focus on exam technique, revision strategies, and building confidence. Having experienced challenges myself as a student — from not understanding certain topics to learning how to revise effectively — I use that insight to make lessons empathetic, engaging, and effective. I’ve also worked with students with ADHD and dyslexia, adapting my approach to suit different learning styles. Above all, I aim to make learning enjoyable and rewarding, helping every student realise their full potential. I studied at Alleyn’s School in London, where I achieved A*s in A-level Economics, Maths, Geography, and EPQ, as well as grade 9s across all my GCSEs, including Maths and Further Maths. During my time there, I was awarded the Upper School Academic Excellence Prize for outstanding academic achievement. I’m now studying Economics and Geography at the University of St Andrews, with a particular interest in development and environmental economics. My studies have strengthened my skills in data analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Having experienced times when I found certain concepts challenging or struggled with how to revise effectively, I’ve developed strategies that I now use to help my students overcome similar obstacles and reach their full potential.
