Tuve la oportunidad de realizar un intercambio académico en la Universidad de Bayreuth, Alemania, donde cursé materias avanzadas de cálculo, fortaleciendo mi formación en el área. He trabajado como tutora de niños de primaria y como monitora en clases universitarias, brindando apoyo en asignaturas como matemáticas, física y cálculo. Mi enfoque es adaptar las clases a las necesidades de cada estudiante, facilitando el aprendizaje de una manera clara y efectiva. Estoy en proceso de obtener mi titulación como Ingeniera en Transporte y Vías en la Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC). Durante mi formación, he adquirido sólidos conocimientos en matemáticas, física y cálculo, fundamentales para el análisis y diseño de infraestructura de transporte. Como parte de mi trayectoria académica, realicé un intercambio en la Universidad de Bayreuth, Alemania, donde cursé materias avanzadas de cálculo, enriqueciendo mi perspectiva y competencias en un entorno internacional. Además, he ganado experiencia práctica como tutora de niños de primaria, apoyándolos en su aprendizaje de conceptos básicos, y como monitora en clases universitarias, ayudando a estudiantes a comprender temas complejos relacionados con mi carrera.

Hi, my full name is Botakoz, but most of the people just call me shortly Bota and to that name I am used more. I am from Kazakhstan originally, although I have lived so many years abroad. While being a student I participated in the program for students called “Camp Counselors USA”, and went to the USA to work as a camp counselor and a tutor for campers teaching them to sew and making stuff out of fabric. I have worked as an English teacher for around 10 years and 8 years of them at school with kids of different ages and it was definitely one of the best experience and other two years I have been tutoring English online, adults mainly. As an English teacher I never stop learning English myself as I am always curious about new vocabulary that I might not know while reading some fiction in English and of course teaching is my biggest passion for that reason too. Besides that, I love doing yoga, going skiing, trekking, hiking, watching movies, listening to music and dancing salsa. I have got 8 year old son and he speaks English pretty much as a native speaker, it is because I have been speaking English to him since he was born, reading books for him, watching cartoons together and just explaining things he didn't or doesn't understand in English and like a snowball effect he got some English speaking friends from England, studied in English at school first 2 grades, and I guess that having my son speaking very fluent English is another prove of the fact that teaching English is my passion. So, that is a short presentation of myself. I have got a bachelor degree in English Philology in 2006 in my hometown Karaganda at the Karaganda State University. After graduating the university I started working as an English teacher at the local school. After that I moved to the capital city of Kazakhstan as I joined one American organization to do some volunteering with university students. Mainly it was about organizing English clubs and Book clubs, where we were supposed to prepare some topics for discussions and participate and choose some books with students to read together and discuss them as well during the book clubs. Although I really loved working with this organization I still had to quit and go back to work to school, to a different one though. I continued my teaching career at the Presidential School, which is considered to be somehow special, and I have worked there for about 7 years. During the time of working at that school I have done the PDP (Professional Development Program) at Nazarbayev University. I would have been still teaching English at that school nowadays hadn't I moved to Norway due to circumstances in my life. Living in Norway for a few years without teaching I thought I was done with this career and had to do something different. Nevertheless it turned out that I went to Barcelona to do my CELTA Certificate at the International House of Barcelona. After having done CELTA Certificate I went back to teaching English online and I realize that I am really enjoying it even though the format of teaching online is very different to the one that is offline in the classroom. So, this is a short introduction about my teaching career.

My name is Mireia, I am 23 years old, and recently I graduated from Law School, at University of Navarra. I consider myself a consistent person and willing to do whatever it takes to reach all my goals. I would also be delighted to share all of my knowledge and English skills with anyone who needs it. During my whole life I’ve lived in three different countries,and have studied in many international schools. Regarding my professional background, I had an international summer experience in Austria (Vienna), where I worked in a hotel. I also have given private English and math classes. In addition, I had a summer internship as an administrative and accounting assistant. Likewise, the summer of 2022 I had the opportunity to volunteer in Tanzania (Africa), during a whole month; where I spent most of my time giving English lessons to children from grades 2th to 9th. I also had the opportunity to share new activities and group dynamics with them.
