Soy una persona a quien le apasiona la naturaleza, así que siempre aprovecho para hacer excursiones o picnics. También me gusta viajar y aprender sobre otras culturas, su historia, costumbres y relación con el medio. Y, en mi tiempo libre, disfruto leyendo, cocinando y creando pendientes. Estudié Biología porque desde pequeña me ha apasionado la naturaleza y el medio ambiente. Elegir esta carrera me ha ayudado a entender nuestro entorno y a ser más respetuosa, tanto con el medio, como con las personas con las que convivo. A su vez, transmitir la pasión que tengo por la biología me fascina y hacerlo de forma didáctica y divertida me parece uno de los mejores procesos de aprendizaje. He hecho prácticas en la Fundación Oso de Asturias, donde también realicé funciones de educación ambiental y realicé un intercambio por seis meses en la UC de Chile.

My name is Laura, and my goal as a tutor is to provide the comprehensive support students need to succeed in school. While I am currently pursuing a degree in Chemistry at UPTC, which gives me a very strong foundation in science and math. I am a versatile tutor capable of assisting with various subjects, from reading comprehension to general homework help. I believe that academic success is about more than just one subject; it’s about developing solid study habits and the confidence to face any challenge. In my sessions, I prioritize clarity and patience. I know that sometimes a student just needs a different explanation or a supportive environment to ask questions without judgment. That’s why I adapt my teaching to each student's unique pace, using practical examples to make learning feel motivating rather than a chore. My objective is to help my students not only memorize facts but also learn how to organize their time and think critically. I completed my secondary education with high honors, specializing in the scientific track. Currently, I am an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at the Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC). Throughout my academic journey, I have developed advanced knowledge in Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, and Mathematics. My university training includes extensive laboratory experience, which has strengthened my analytical skills and attention to detail. I am also interested in the application of chemistry in sustainable cosmetics. This solid scientific background allows me to teach complex topics in a clear and structured way, adapting to different educational levels and needs.

Hi! My name is Juliana Gualteros and I am a Biomedical Engineering student in my tenth semester at Universidad Militar Nueva Granada. Throughout my academic journey, mathematics has been a fundamental part of my training, helping me develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills. I have experience as a university tutor, where I supported students in understanding complex topics and building confidence in their abilities. This experience taught me that every student learns differently, and that patience, clarity, and encouragement are key to effective learning. As a tutor, my goal is not only to help students solve math problems, but also to help them truly understand the concepts behind them. I believe that with the right guidance, practice, and support, any student can improve their skills and gain confidence in mathematics. I work with primary and secondary students and adapt my teaching methods to each student’s pace and learning style. I enjoy creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing academically. I am currently a tenth-semester Biomedical Engineering student at Universidad Militar Nueva Granada. Throughout my academic training, I have developed a strong foundation in mathematics, including algebra, calculus, statistics, and applied mathematical reasoning, which are essential tools in engineering and scientific analysis. During my studies, I also worked as a university tutor, supporting other students in understanding complex topics and strengthening their problem-solving skills. In addition to my academic work, I have been actively involved in research activities. I have received two Meritorious Mention awards at research seedbed meetings—one at the national level and another at the international level—recognizing the quality and impact of my research. I was also a speaker at the VI International Seminar on Autism, where I presented work related to biomedical engineering and neuroscience. I have also completed training in Advanced Excel and Power BI, which has strengthened my data analysis and visualization skills, allowing me to work effectively with numerical information and present complex data in a clear and organized way. My educational background has helped me approach mathematics not only from a theoretical perspective but also from a practical one, allowing me to show students how mathematical concepts can be applied to real-life situations.

Soy Ingeniero especializado en programación informàtica y temas ambientales. Me encanta transmitir mis conocimientos tanto a grandes como a pequeños porque es la via que he encontrado para ayudar a la gente. Creo que el conocimento siempre abre puertas y nos ayuda a ser criticos con la realidad que nos envuelve. Estudíe Ingenieria y Ciencias Ambientales tanto en la Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya como en la Universitat de Barcelona, y despues de varios años trabajando tanto en el sector de la Alimentación como en el de la Informática, me he dado cuenta que me encanta transmitir mis conocimientos para que sean útiles a otras personas y les puedan ayudar en su camino.
