Hi! I’m Catherine Solomon, a tutor passionate about turning tricky concepts into “aha!” moments. I teach Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Basic Science, Math, and English, breaking down complex topics into simple steps. My name is Arcel, and I’m 29 years old. I'm a Math teacher but I can also teach Science (Biology & Chemistry) and Sociology. I like also playing basketball and guitar—two activities that allow me to express myself creatively and stay active. Whether it’s on the basketball court or playing my favorite songs, I enjoy the challenge and the connections these hobbies bring. I graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education, Majoring in Mathematics (BSED-Math), and I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Teaching Mathematics. My journey in education is driven by my passion for mathematics and my desire to help students see the beauty in the subject. I graduated with a Bachelor of Secondary Education, majoring in Mathematics (BSED-Math) from Northern Mindanao Colleges Inc. in April 2016. Shortly after, I successfully passed the licensure examination for teachers in September 2016. Currently, I am furthering my education by pursuing a Master’s degree in Teaching Mathematics. My passion for mathematics and my dedication to education drive me to help students discover the beauty and relevance of the subject. Teaching is a profession I am deeply committed to, as I believe it is through education that I can make a lasting impact on students' lives. My goal as an educator is not only to help students master mathematical concepts but also to inspire them to develop a genuine interest in the subject. I understand that many students find math challenging, which is why I believe that patience and the right approach are key to helping them overcome obstacles. With a supportive learning environment, students can build confidence and come to appreciate math as a tool for critical thinking and problem-solving. !Derzeit unterrichte ich nur Gymnasiasten der Klassen 10-13! Ich bin 20 Jahre alt und begeistere mich für Naturwissenschaften, vor allem für Physik, sowie für Mathematik. Ich mache gerne Sport, spiele sehr viel Klavier und lese gerne Fantasy-Bücher oder blättere durch Wälzer über theoretische Physik. Der Nachhilfeunterricht bei mir ist eher ruhig und konzentriert. Ich würde mich auch als geduldig aber zielstrebig beschreiben und erkläre gerne mit anschaulichen Beispielen. Am meisten Spaß macht mir der Unterricht mit Schülern der gymnasialen Oberstufe (Mathematik & Physik, besonders Leistungskurs), da dort die Themen und Aufgaben für mich besonders interessant sind. Der Prozess der Nachhilfe macht mir aber grundsätzlich mit jedem Schüler Spaß, der lernen möchte. !Derzeit unterrichte ich nur Gymnasiasten der Klassen 10-13! Ich habe am Rosenstein-Gymnasium in Heubach (allgemeinbildendes Gymnasium) mein Abitur letzten Sommer mit den Leistungsfächern Mathematik, Physik und Kunst gemacht. Die intensive Auseinandersetzung mit den Themen in diesen Fächern hat mir zur Bestnote in den entsprechenden Abiturprüfungen und einem Abischnitt von genau 0,75 verholfen, wobei mein persönliches Interesse für die Inhalte durchaus entscheidend für diese Erfolge war. Meine Begeisterung und das gesammelte Wissen möchte ich gerne an meine Nachhilfeschüler weitergeben und ihnen so helfen, ihre eigenen Ziele zu erreichen. Ich habe schon während der Schulzeit Spaß am Erklären entwickelt und vielen Mitschülern in verschiedenen Fächern (v.a. aber Mathematik und Physik) geholfen. Im privaten Rahmen gebe ich schon lange auch Freunden und Verwandten natürlich kostenlose Nachhilfe. Seit ich bei der Schülerhilfe bin, habe ich natürlich vieles dazugelernt (auch durch die bei der Schülerhilfe erforderliche Einarbeitung). Seither unterrichte ich hauptsächlich Mathematik an Schüler unterschiedlicher Schulen und Klassenstufen, sowohl im Gruppen- als auch im Einzelunterricht, den ich für deutlich sinnvoller halte. Besonders geeignet bin ich als Lehrer wohl für Schüler der gymnasialen Oberstufe, wobei sich mein Wissen in Physik größtenteils auf folgende große Themen bezieht: Elektrizitätslehre, Elektromagnetismus, Mechanische & Elektomagnetischr Schwingungen & Wellen, Elektromagnetische Induktion, Wellenoptik, Quantenphysik. In weiteren Themen kenne ich mich teils schlechter aus oder müsste mich noch ein wenig einarbeiten, was aber alles keine zu großen Probleme darstellen sollte.
