GCSE: Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Maths and History. A Level: Chemistry and Sociology Exam Board experience: Edexcel, AQA and OCR Hi! My name is Fahima and I am a Second year Law student at the University of Birmingham. Teaching is one of my many passions, and I believe education is more than the pursuit of academic excellence, as a tutor I hope to be able to offer a secure place for children to advance in individuality, and to aid with character development. As an independent, selfless and critically thinking individual, I believe such personal assets, as well as having an empathetic and enthusiastic charisma, will hopefully, enable me to be successful in this field of work, as these are essential qualities vital for an educator. Some of my hobbies include travelling, swimming, and reading! Along with being a full time Law student, I am also a tutor here at GoStudent and I tutor in GCSE Maths Biology, Chemistry and Physics as well as A Level Chemistry and Sociology. I have recently just completed my second year at the University of Birmingham and I am going into my third year.

Hello! :) My name is Cécile and I am twenty-five years of age. In 2021, I graduated from De Montfort University, Leicester with a Bachelors Degree in Drama and I am currently midway through my Insurance Chartership. I currently work full-time as an Insurance Consultant but the highlight of my week, is supporting students on their academic journeys! :) I started my tutoring journey during my A-Level years (between 2016-2018). Despite only being once a week, I started helping year seven or eights who were struggling with their English homework. The tutoring then progressed to university where I did teaching modules alongside my degree (to which, I received a First grading) and started teaching English/French to private students throughout the nearby Leicester area. I have been established on the GoStudent platform as a freelance tutor since the January of 2022 and on the 4th of January 2024, I received my 500th lesson certificate. Since January 2022, I have delivered over 800 lessons on this platform, alone. Therefore, I have just over eight years worth of tutoring experience (in total) or three and a half years worth, on a continuous basis! Throughout this time, I have encouraged an array of students who vary in different strengths and abilities, to succeed/reach their goals! I teach the following subjects: Drama, English, History and French. Drama and English are both taught from, Primary through to Degree level. History is taught from GCSE through to As/A-Level. French is taught from Primary through to GCSE standard. I also teach French to individuals who are looking to learn the language, from scratch. I possess dual nationality - I am half French and half English. I also conduct lessons providing coursework and exam help. I love keeping active, listening to music/podcasts, playing with my cat and helping others succeed, is the icing on top of the cake! If I can help someone achieve their goals, then that is a day well spent :) I possess over eight years worth of tutoring experience and that includes both, face to face as well as online. In 2016, I passed and achieved thirteen GCSE's, nine of which vary from B - A* grades. - Bishop Walsh Catholic School, Birmingham. In 2018, I passed and achieved three A-Levels in Drama, History and Biology. - Bishop Walsh Catholic School, Birmingham. In 2021, I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Drama including a First Class for my Dissertation. - De Montfort University, Leicester. In 2024, I started my Cert CII and I am aiming to have my full Chartership in Insurance, by February 2026. Throughout my degree: I received a First Class Honors for my 'Education and the Performing Arts' module which has proven fruitful with tutoring. This consolidated my understanding of the performing arts education policy, pedagogy, curriculum design, and assessment in a time of educational, economic, technological and social change. It also allowed me to construct innovative ways towards lesson exploration including within the SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) sector. I can confidently say that I have explored the place of the performing arts in the evolving English education system and in the early years, informal, community and therapy settings. My degree allowed me to submerse myself into various fields of education and resultantly, have the right exposure towards assisting students within the following categories: - EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage/s). - SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). - Primary Education. - Secondary Education. - Mature learning.

ABOUT ME I have a deep interest in history, human and physical geography, anthropology, technology, architecture and engineering. I especially enjoy the history and geography of languages and language families. I am a keen traveller, audiophile and technophile, with a love for all kinds of technologies, analogue and digital, new and old. Thanks to COVID I learnt a lot of DIY skills through necessity. My house also has a garden full of fruit trees, so I guess that would make me an amateur gardener by default. I try to keep fit by cycling when possible, but my favourite sport is swimming. TEACHING EXPERIENCE/PREFERENCES The subjects I teach are History, English Literature and Language for GCSE and A-level, as well as EFL/ESL English. I tend to teach students aged 14+, so from Year 9 to Year 13 or older, but I do have a few students younger than this. I use a variety of teaching approaches, ranging from traditional methods of text analysis to modern forms of teaching, such as interactive quizzes, questionnaires and even YouTube videos if they benefit the students learning style. Exam Board Experience: AQA, Edexcel and OCR in the main. WJEC/Eduqas to a lesser extent. Languages:- English: as a first language to advanced level. Turkish: fluent to college level.

Hi! I'm Favour, I have experience tutoring students who are studying English language and Literature for their GCSE's. As a tutor I aim to breakdown questions & lessons to go along with the students' pace. During lessons I use the students interest to channel their learning & I am patient to ensure they get the most of the time. For example I once used a students' sports interest to breakdown the structure question in the AQA language paper 1 question 3. What I love the most about tutoring (apart from spreading knowledge of course) is getting to know, learn and see students develop. I love seeing wonderful personalities and interests come through, so I look forward to meeting you soon! Outside of tutoring, I am involved in marketing communications. In my spare time I like to watch movies, videos on dog grooming, skincare & perfumes, spend time with friends and bake (when I can). TEACHING SUBJECTS Lower level: English language & Literature in English Degree level: Mass Communication, Advertising & Marketing courses Languages: English (Level 5) & Yoruba (Level 2) Preferred Student Age Group: 9 years and above. My communication background links with the subject of English and as such my highest educational qualification as a tutor is a completed Bachelors Degree in Mass Communication (Second Class Upper) and a masters degree in Advertising & Marketing. Hello! I am a doctoral student in English Literature at the University of Lincoln, having completed my BA at Lincoln in 2019, and having completed my teacher training (PGCE) at the University of Hull. After this, I then began tutoring whilst I completed my MA in English Literature, graduating in 2022. I write both fiction and non-fiction work in my private life, being published online and in print, and I hope that I can share my love of the subject with you. I am also published in media studies and literary theory by a variety of academic publishers, most recently Palgrave, and have several more chapters due for publication in the next 18 months. I teach English, both literature and language, to GCSE and A Level students - primarily within the AQA specification, although I also have familiarity with Edexcel. Though less common, I am also comfortable tutoring undergraduate English Literature. My tutoring is therefore best suited to students aged 11 and up. For those students looking towards their exams, or just wanting to get ahead of the curve, you are in the right place. The best tutors help students achieve their goals and embrace the subject, rather than sticking to a pre-arranged script, so I hope that we can work out the best path for your learning together. I went to secondary school in a small town without a huge track record of academic success, and so I know the kind of circumstances that people might be dealing with in pursuing their education at that level. After completing secondary school, I finished A Levels in English Literature, French, and Physics, before completing my BA in English in 2019. I then completed a PGCE in teaching English at the University of Hull in 2021, and completed an MA in English Literature at the University of Lincoln in 2022. I am currently a doctoral student at the University of Lincoln, studying depictions of psychosis in Gothic Literature.

Hello! My name is Daher Salameh and I'm a mechanical engineer. I have a master's degree in mechanical engineering and currently work as an R&D engineer. I always had a passion for teaching and valued education a lot as it's our tool to build a better future for ourselves and keep moving forward as individuals and as a society. My area of expertise in teaching is mainly Math and Physics (but also taught other subjects) and I have more than 5 years of experience in this field. Throughout the years, I have learned to deliver concepts to students in ways they have never seen before — that I believe are interesting — which encourages them to learn. I always try to present the physical significance behind every concept, the intuition behind the formulas, and the relation of everything academic to its real life counterpart. I hope you'll learn from and enjoy my lessons because I certainly enjoy giving them!
