Hi, I'm Teacher Maria, and I'm here to lead you on an exciting learning adventure! I believe learning shouldn't be boring or gloomy it's all about fun, exploration, and growth. As a passionate and adventurous teacher, I'm ready to take on any challenge with a smile. I’m all about spreading joy, optimism, and positivity in every lesson, making sure each day leaves you feeling happy and inspired. Let's make learning a journey you'll love! I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Management Accounting in 2017 from the University of San Jose-Recoletos. During my time in college, I had the privilege of serving as the Supreme Student Council Auditor, where I gained valuable leadership and organizational experience. Additionally, I worked as a tutor for grade school students, where I developed a passion for teaching and helping others succeed academically.

I’m a medical student with a passion for teaching Biology, Science, and Maths at primary and GCSE levels. Almost 10 years in higher education, I’ve learned two key things: 1) Every student can succeed with the right teaching approach, and 2) Learning should be active, using techniques like spaced repetition and active recall. I focus on breaking down complex topics, using examples, mnemonics, and past papers to help students understand. I’m patient and adaptable, always ready to find new ways to explain concepts if needed. Outside of academics, I’m passionate about sports, gaming, and tech. I’ve coached an under-15 basketball team and teach guitar at my church, which helps me connect with students and build trust to boost their confidence and performance. I graduated from Glasgow in 2020 with a 2:1 in Biomedical Sciences and am currently pursuing a medical degree. My strong academic background in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, English, and Geography enables me to offer well-rounded and insightful tutoring.
