Hello, my name is Helen and I have a BA degree in Criminal Justice Studies from Bradford University. The degree's main subjects were Criminal Law, Psychology, and Forensic Science. My hobbies include watching football, playing tennis, reading, and walking my dog. I have been an online tutor for 3 years. I have taught as an ESL tutor. During this time I have taught people of various ages and abilities. I create a positive learning environment. I personalize learning and create lessons that respond to students' interests. I equip students with the confidence and skills needed to incorporate technology into English language classrooms and for future jobs and life in general. I regularly assess the progress, strengths, and weaknesses of my students and by doing this, I help them fill gaps in their knowledge and learn best. I have a TEFL certificate worth 120 hours of study. I also hold GCSEs at grade C or above including English and Maths. I also have 4 A - levels including History and Geography and a degree, which I finished in 2003. I celebrated graduating by going to the US.

I'm 22 and from Leeds. I've tutored maths for 4 years from Ks2 to A-level. I went from a grade E to A at A-level by finding a learning style that worked for me outside of the classroom and want to help more students do the same! In my spare time, I enjoy boxing and playing piano. I also love football (unfortunately a Man Utd fan!) I studied at the University of Leeds for 3 years between 2021 and 2024. Hi! I'm Favour, I have experience tutoring students who are studying English language and Literature for their GCSE's. As a tutor I aim to breakdown questions & lessons to go along with the students' pace. During lessons I use the students interest to channel their learning & I am patient to ensure they get the most of the time. For example I once used a students' sports interest to breakdown the structure question in the AQA language paper 1 question 3. What I love the most about tutoring (apart from spreading knowledge of course) is getting to know, learn and see students develop.
