Hi! My name is sharmin, I am currently studying Medicine in Manchester and have worked with students of a wide range of ages and requirements. I personally thrive off learning and am a dedicated tutor who understands how important it is to provide students with unique and tailored support to help them not only achieve their study goals but also actively enjoy the learning process. Having faced my own challenging exams, I know what is needed to build up strong study habits and maintain motivation especially when encountering complex study concepts. I am currently about to enter my third year of degree in Medicine at the University of Manchester where I have built up a strong understanding of the sciences particularly Chemistry and Biology as well as application skills. I completed my GCSEs and A levels in Greater Manchester as well with the latter being during the COVID pandemic. In my degree I have spent a lot of time as a peer tutor to people in my class and students in the years of the degree below me in teaching societies. Alongside this I have also tutored students in English Language and Literature GCSE previously as I have always enjoyed the subject and volunteered as a tutor for students in Year 5-6 looking for additional support in their SATs exams.

Passionate about chemistry and helping students achieve their potential and beyond. I am a young teacher, with a vast knowledge of chemistry at the KS3, KS4, and KS5 level. This is evidenced by my A grade at both GCSE, and A level. I place a large emphasis on breaking critical concepts down, ensuring students have a sound understanding of foundational aspects of chemistry- which will then allow them to tackle more difficult subject topics. All of my teaching is relevant to the exam board in question, and there is also a large focus on exam technique to ensure you're hitting those top marks! In terms of my hobbies, I love going to the gym, playing sports such as badminton and kickboxing, reading, and playing Call of Duty. I am a fully qualified Maths teacher, and have spent the last five years working in schools teaching Maths to students aged 11-18. I have spent the last two years as Assistant Curriculum Leader for Maths at a secondary school / sixth form in East London. Before teaching, I studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Oxford, from which I graduated in 2019. I have experience tutoring Maths at KS3, GCSE and A-Level, and tutoring Economics at GCSE and A-Level. Furthermore, I am experienced in working with both high and low attaining students, with SEND students, and with those students that require special adjustments.
