Hi! My name is Lucy and I'm 22 years old from the North East. I am currently completing my Masters in Developmental Psychology and have a deep interest in education and teaching. My background in psychology has helped me to gain a deep understanding of how young people learn and how best to explain tricky concepts. In my free time I enjoy reading, pilates and spending time with my dog! I look forward to getting to know you and helping you to reach your full potential :) I am currently a Masters student at Sheffield Hallam University, studying Developmental Psychology. I am expected to receive a Merit grade. Previous to this, I did my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Sheffield Hallam and achieved a 2:1 grade. I have A-levels in psychology, english literature and history.

I’m a 4th-year medical student studying abroad, with a strong academic background in A-Level Maths, Chemistry and Biology, achieving A grades in all three subjects. I offer tutoring in GCSE and A-Level Maths, Biology and Chemistry, and I’m passionate about helping students build both their confidence and understanding of the subjects. I first gained teaching experience through mentoring students during high school, particularly in GCSE Maths and Biology. Since then, I’ve worked with a number of students over the past few years, helping them work towards their academic goals and make significant progress. Seeing students become more confident and independent in their learning is one of the most rewarding parts of tutoring for me. I believe that every student learns differently, so I don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. I take the time to understand what a student is struggling with, how they learn best, and what they want to achieve, and then adapt my lessons accordingly. I also make sure to prepare thoroughly before each lesson, so that our time together is focused and productive. Whether you need help understanding difficult topics, practising exam questions, improving your exam technique, or simply building confidence, I aim to make lessons clear, engaging and tailored to you. As someone who has been through GCSEs and A-Levels myself, I understand how overwhelming exams can feel. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them feel more confident, prepared and in control of their learning. I achieved A grades in A-Level Maths, Biology and Chemistry, as well as a 9 in GCSE Maths and Further Maths, an 8 in GCSE Chemistry, and a 7 in GCSE Biology. Now that I am studying Medicine at university, I have continued to develop my knowledge and understanding of Biology and Chemistry, while also maintaining a strong foundation in Maths. I therefore feel confident in my ability to explain concepts clearly and help students tackle challenging topics. However, I also believe that being a good tutor means being honest and willing to learn. If there is ever a topic or question that I am unsure about, I will take the time to research and understand it properly before explaining it to my student. This ensures that I can provide accurate, well-prepared and clear explanations rather than simply giving an answer.

I'm currently a 3rd year student at the University of Pretoria, studying BEng in Civil Engineering. Completed my high school with distinction, and passed my 1st 2 years of University with distinction. I have been helping countless students for close to a decade, mainly on STEM field related subjects. I'm a youth cell leader at church. And I also love running. I completed my high school at Guyani High School, with 7 distinctions, then further my education in Civil Engineering at the University of Pretoria. I'm currently in my third year. My 1st year was mostly consolidation of the basics, which I found interesting, as I learned how to apply multidisciplinary subjects. My 2nd was introduction to engineering, and my third has been about applying the engineering principles to design structures that economical and safe.

I am currently a fourth year student studying medicine. I tailor engaging lessons to inspire understanding and confidence and I am committed to empowering students for success since five years. As a fellow student I know what it is like and will try my best to provide friendly yet helpful lessons. I attended Bourne Grammar School, where I completed my GCSEs and A-levels, achieving excellent results that reflected my dedication to academic success. Currently, I am a fourth-year medical student, continuing to build on my passion for medicine and patient care.
