Hi, I’m Jace Steele, an enthusiastic and dedicated math teacher who believes that mathematics should be understood, appreciated, and enjoyed. I’m passionate about helping students discover that math is more than just numbers and formulas. For me, it’s about logic, patterns, and real-life problem-solving. I design my lessons to be interactive and engaging, using relatable examples and practical applications so students can see how math connects to their everyday lives. My goal is not just to help them get the right answers, but to build their confidence, strengthen their critical thinking skills, and develop a positive mindset toward learning. As a teacher, I value patience, clarity, and encouragement. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching approach to match their pace and learning style. Whether in a classroom setting or during one-on-one sessions, I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes—because that’s where real growth truly happens. Outside the classroom, I enjoy solving Rubik’s Cube puzzles and playing chess. These activities sharpen my analytical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills—qualities that I bring into my teaching every day. I strongly believe that with the right guidance, consistent practice, and the right mindset, every student can succeed in mathematics—and I’m here to guide them every step of the way. I graduated with a degree in Mathematics Education, where I built a strong foundation in mathematical theories, effective teaching strategies, and classroom management techniques. My academic training prepared me to design structured yet engaging lessons, differentiate instruction for diverse learning styles, and create a positive learning environment where students feel supported and motivated to succeed. Over the past seven years of teaching experience, I have continuously refined these skills in both classroom and online settings. This experience has strengthened my ability to simplify complex concepts, manage different learner needs, and adapt my approach to ensure that each student truly understands the material. Through years of hands-on practice, I’ve learned how to balance academic rigor with encouragement, helping students build not only competence in mathematics but also confidence in their abilities. Combining my formal education with seven years of real-world teaching experience, I am committed to delivering lessons that are clear, engaging, and impactful—empowering every student to reach their full potential in mathematics.

I am currently studying Medicine at the University of Plymouth. From a young age I have always enjoyed helping others as it brings happiness and joy to me. This is also the main reason why I wanted to become a tutor. In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports, particularly football and cricket. I have 2 younger brothers, so I am always entertained. I love talking and spending time with them. For secondary school, I attended the Oxford Spires Academy where I completed my GCSEs. For 6th form, I was accepted by The Cherwell School, where I completed my A-levels. At GCSE level science I achieved a grade 8/8 and at A-levels I achieved grades A in both Biology and Chemistry. In my first year of UCAS application, I did not receive any offers to study Medicine at University. However, towards the end of summer I came across an opportunity to study medicine through an alternative route. The University of Plymouth were offering a one-year transfer from Biomed to Medicine providing one achieved 3 As at A-levels, maintained a 70% pass rate across all modules in 1st year and passed the interview for Medicine. In the previous year only 2/23 applicants were successful in this route. Although this was intense, I was able to successfully transfer from Biomed to Medicine after the 1st year. This year I just completed my 1st year as a Medical student at the University of Plymouth

I am a passionate and dedicated tutor currently studying Economics in my first year at university. I teach Economics, Spanish and A-level and GCSE Maths, bringing both academic excellence and a dynamic approach to every lesson. With two years of experience as an 11+ Maths and English tutor at Test Teach, I have developed a strong ability to engage I went to Sutton Grammar School where I got 11 9s in my GCSEs including maths, English language, English literature and Spanish. I achieved 3 A*s and an A in my A-levels in Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Spanish. I am a first year economics student.

I am a third-year undergraduate student studying Psychology and Sociology, with a genuine passion for supporting young people in reaching their potential. I have hands-on tutoring experience across Psychology, Maths, Biology, and English, working with children who required additional socioeconomic and special educational support. Alongside this, I work as a Residential Support Worker with children with special needs, giving me a strong understanding of diverse learning needs and how to adapt my approach accordingly. I completed the IB Diploma with Higher Level subjects in Psychology, Politics, and English, and hold a full suite of GCSEs, providing me with a solid academic foundation across a wide range of subjects. Within my university, I serve as User Experience Officer at the Undergraduate Psychology Association, reflecting my commitment to student welfare and development. I am a native English and Swedish speaker, patient, empathetic, and dedicated to making learning accessible and enjoyable for every student. Outside of academics, I play netball, piano and love reading classic and historical fiction, which keeps me curious and engaged; qualities I bring into every tutoring session. I completed 10 GCSEs, achieving all A's and 9's, at Dulwich International School Singapore in 2022. I went on to complete the International Baccalaureate Diploma in 2024, finishing with a score of 36. My Higher Level subjects were Psychology, Global Politics, and English Language and Literature, in which I achieved 6's across the board, alongside a 6 in SL Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches, and 5's in SL Spanish and SL Biology. I am currently in my second year of a Master of Arts (BSc) in Psychology and Sociology at the University of Edinburgh, where I am due to graduate in 2028. Alongside my studies, I serve as User Experience Officer for the Undergraduate Psychology Association, where I work to improve the student experience within the department. In addition to my formal degree, I have pursued a number of enriching academic opportunities. In 2023, I completed a one-week Psychology Summer Course at King's College London, where I studied and debated topics including the DSM-V, Terror Management Theory and the Mortality Salience Hypothesis, Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, and Need-to-Belong Theory. That same year, I completed a Mental Health Warrior Awareness Training Course, a one-day programme focused on building awareness of the daily challenges associated with mental health disorders, including those that are often invisible or overlooked. In 2024, I also attended the INSEAD Business Summer School, broadening my understanding of leadership, strategy, and the intersection of business and human behaviour.
