I have been tutoring with GoStudent for almost a year now, having formerly worked at museums, churches and summer camps. I enjoy working with children and am a current Sunday-School teacher and former volunteer with several youth charities. I also have two years of classroom experience with Years 2 and 3, but am happy to work with children of any age, teaching English, Maths, History, Latin, and RE. Please note I do not take adult learners at this time. I am a graduate of the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in History, also having taken papers in Classics and Theology. I won several prizes during my degree, including three prize scholarships and the Roy Porter Prize for History in my second year. Prior to my degree, I took three A-Levels in History, Maths and English, receiving all A*s, and prior to that, ten GCSEs, receiving all 9s.

Hi, I’m Kate Stevens, an enthusiastic and dedicated science teacher! I love helping students explore the world of science in engaging and innovative ways. My goal is to make learning science exciting through hands-on experiments, real-world applications, and stimulating problem-solving activities that spark curiosity and build confidence in my students. In my free time, I enjoy exploring nature, reading science articles, and experimenting with new ideas, which keeps my mind curious and creative. I graduated with a degree in Master of Arts in Teaching- Biology Education, where I gained a strong foundation in scientific concepts, teaching strategies, and classroom management. With 2 years of face-to-face teaching experience, I have designed and delivered engaging lessons, hands-on experiments, and interactive activities that cater to diverse learning styles.
