My name is Mashika, and I am a civil engineer and a have also worked as a middle school and high school teacher at Villa Grimani International School. I have a robust educational background that includes a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a Master's degree in Complex Systems Engineering that I am currently pursuing. Additionally, I am passionate about child psychology and have read extensively on the subject to deepen my understanding of how children learn. This has truly shaped my teaching style which involves alot of interactive discussions and problem solving which in turn leads to increased self confidence and reasoning ability in students. Throughout my teaching journey, I have had the privilege of tutoring students of different ages and backgrounds in subjects such as Math, Chemistry, and Biology. This experience has strengthened my teaching skills, especially when it comes to understanding different student learning styles. I have found it fascinating to see how students grasp new concepts when they are related to real-life analogies. I find great joy in teaching, and one of my favorite quotes is by Steve Jobs, who said, "The only way to do great work is to love what you do". I'm a dedicated and patient tutor with a strong passion for helping students build confidence and achieve academic success. I have achieved high grades in both GCSEs and A-levels, and have worked with a range of students. Whether a student needs help preparing for exams, catching up in class, or wants to get ahead, I focus on creating a positive and supportive learning environment. My goal is to help students improve their grades while also inspiring curiosity and helping them form strategies for success. I have completed both my GCSEs and A-Levels in the UK, achieving strong results across a range of academic subjects. At GCSE level, I studied core subjects including English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, and the Sciences, along with Citizenship, Geography, French and RE, which gave me a well-rounded academic foundation. For A-Levels, I chose to pursue Biology, English Literature and Politics, which not only deepened my subject knowledge but also developed my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. I am looking forward to studying law at university in October.
