I am a fully qualified Maths teacher, and have spent the last five years working in schools teaching Maths to students aged 11-18. I have spent the last two years as Assistant Curriculum Leader for Maths at a secondary school / sixth form in East London. Before teaching, I studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Oxford, from which I graduated in 2019. I have experience tutoring Maths at KS3, GCSE and A-Level, and tutoring Economics at GCSE and A-Level. Furthermore, I am experienced in working with both high and low attaining students, with SEND students, and with those students that require special adjustments. I have experience tutoring across all exam boards, but with particular experience with Edexcel. I have extensive experience with preparing students for their GCSE and A-Level examinations, both in schools and through private tuition, and have helped numerous students to reach their full potential and achieve their aims, whether that be a Grade 4 or a Grade 9. My approach to teaching is knowledge-based, emphasising teacher-led instruction and modelled examples followed by independent student practice, with additional support when required. My approach towards my students is firm but caring: I aim to cultivate a calm, consistent and productive atmosphere, where students feel happy, safe, and comfortable to ask for any support that they might need. I have been tutoring with GoStudent for almost a year now, having formerly worked at museums, churches and summer camps. I enjoy working with children and am a current Sunday-School teacher and former volunteer with several youth charities. I also have two years of classroom experience with Years 2 and 3, but am happy to work with children of any age, teaching English, Maths, History, Latin, and RE. Please note I do not take adult learners at this time. I am a graduate of the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in History, also having taken papers in Classics and Theology. I won several prizes during my degree, including three prize scholarships and the Roy Porter Prize for History in my second year. Prior to my degree, I took three A-Levels in History, Maths and English, receiving all A*s, and prior to that, ten GCSEs, receiving all 9s.

I have always been curious and love solving problems, which led me to study biochemistry at university before moving into software development. I enjoy challenges, whether it’s in science, coding, or everyday life, and I find it really rewarding to figure things out. During lockdown, I even taught myself how to solve a Rubik’s Cube, which was a fun way to test my patience and problem-solving skills. Beyond work, I love learning new things through reading and watching documentaries. Exploring different cultures is also something I’m really passionate about—I enjoy traveling, meeting new people, and experiencing different ways of life. I believe that learning is a lifelong journey, and I enjoy helping others grow and develop their own skills. With a curious mind and a love for challenges, I’m always excited to take on new opportunities and share my knowledge with others. I attended Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls, where I completed my GCSEs and A-levels. After that, I pursued my passion for science by studying biochemistry at the University of Warwick. I dedicated myself to my studies and graduated with an upper second-class degree.

Nice to meet you! I am a medical student at the University of Manchester with a strong interest in education. I achieved top grades at GCSE and A level, and I would love to help you learn effectively. I am an amicable individual who takes pride in my ability to understand, work with and assist others. I look forward to getting to know you and answering any questions you may have! As of 2025, I have been a private tutor for a KS3 student (and I am also able to teach at higher or lower levels, such as KS1, KS2, GCSE and A-Level. I have focused on helping this student consolidate their understanding of core skills; where possible, I also aim to stretch the student's understanding beyond their years, helping them to get ahead in their studies. During sixth form, I took part in a project called Maths Masterclasses, where I helped design and deliver lessons to primary school students. Planning my presentation required careful thought about structure, clarity, and how to challenge the students beyond their curriculum. I also completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), researching how education strategies can be used in children’s medicine to give children and their carers better understanding of health. Techniques like “teach back,” where students explain a topic in their own words, have stuck with me as important tools for reinforcing learning. More informally, I’ve often found myself helping friends understand difficult topics, and I’ve learnt how to adapt my explanations depending on who I’m speaking to. These experiences have made me realise how much I enjoy teaching, especially when I can find the right approach to make a tricky concept click. I try to make sessions engaging but focused, and I’m always thinking about how to present information clearly and logically. Away from study, I really enjoy football - I love playing fantasy league and keeping up with scores. I also like to read non fiction (especially Wikipedia these days!) to broaden my knowledge on a wide range of topics. I look forward to helping students build confidence and enjoy learning as much as possible. I’m here to make our sessions fun, structured, and tailored to your pace, helping to place you on the path to success! I completed my GCSEs at Oulder Hill Leadership Academy, obtaining the highest grade available (9) in Maths, English Language, English Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Computer Science. I then completed my A-levels in 2024, obtaining grade A in Maths, Biology and Chemistry. Alongside my A-levels, I gained a range of casual experience during college. I took part in an extracurricular programme called Maths Masterclasses, where I prepared worksheets and delivered presentations to primary school students, helping stretch their understanding of Maths beyond the standard curriculum. I was also a member of the Virtual Medical Society, working with other aspiring medical students to create presentations on topics such as medical current affairs, admission exams, and aspects of the application process. This helped me develop the ability to communicate with clarity and confidence. In addition, I completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and was awarded an A* for my work. My project, titled The Role of Health Literacy in Preventative Children's Medicine, deepened my understanding of the educational principles used in healthcare and how they can be applied within broader educational contexts.

Hi, I'm Savannah Stanislaus, I'm 23 years old and I am a recent graduate from the University of Oxford with a BA in German. Over the years, I've tutored a variety of subjects in both individual and group settings, including English at GCSE and A Level, as well as a foreign language, German as a foreign language and A level, Debating and Philosophy A level. My approach to tutoring is one that is personal and based on the individual's goals and learning style, but generally I like to frame the content in a way that feels relatable to what the individual may already be aware of and build from there. Many of my former students have wanted to focus on exams, so I've mastered the ability to interpret exam questions and mark schemes and then frame the demands in a way that is accessible to the student. I have a BA in German from the University of Oxford. My degree was broad and focused not only on the German Language but also on Literature through time, history, medieval German Language, extensive translation, Linguistics, culture and politics in the German-speaking world. My main interests lie in Literature, Linguistics and Philosophy. My dissertation received a first class grade and was Philosophy-based with the title 'Is Ludwig Wittgenstein's distinction between 'Knowledge' and 'Certainty' as a critique of G. E. Moore and the field of philosophical scepticism, worthwhile?’

I’m a second-year Mathematics student at the University of Manchester and I really enjoy helping others build confidence in Maths. I have experience tutoring as well as working as a football coach with children, which has taught me how to explain ideas clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and create a positive and supportive environment. My aim is always to make lessons approachable and enjoyable while helping students make steady progress. For context, I achieved 91% in my first year at university and received A*s in Maths, Further Maths, and Physics at A level. Currently, I am a student at the University of Manchester working towards a BSc in Mathematics. I'm about to move into my second year, after scoring 91% in my first year exams. For A levels, I attended King Ecgbert school in Sheffield, where I achieved A*A*A* in Maths, further Maths and physics. I also attended King Ecgbert school for secondary school, and I attained six grade 9s (including Maths) and three grade 8s at GCSE.

Hi, I’m Maja! (Pronounced Maya). I’m an astrophysics postgrad and a qualified secondary school science teacher. I’ve been through the full rollercoaster of science education, from fighting my way through a master’s degree and emerging with first-class honours, to teaching Year 9s on a Friday afternoon who would rather be anywhere else. Now I help GCSE and A-Level students believe what I already know: you can do this. My goal is to make science feel understandable, interesting, and even a bit fun. When I’m not teaching, you'll find me hanging upside down on an aerial hoop, or writing stories inspired by science and folklore. I went to secondary school in Hungary, where I was initially more interested in the humanities, until I fell in love with space and modern physics. For my leaving qualifications, I completed Advanced Exams in Mathematics and Physics and achieved an A. At university, I completed an integrated Master of Physics degree at the University of Southampton. My first three years focused on general physics (including lab work, mechanics, quantum physics, solid state physics, and wave physics) with a few modules of astronomy. During my master’s year, I had the incredible opportunity to conduct research at the Harvard & Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, where I studied the relationship between black holes and their host galaxies and wrote my thesis on this topic. I graduated with first-class honours in Astrophysics. After university, I felt drawn to education and wanted to help students grasp the beauty of science, so I completed a year of school-centred initial teacher training. I now hold a PGCE with QTS as a qualified science teacher.
