I’m Nabeel, a highly motivated and hard-working individual currently studying Medicine at the University of Manchester. Throughout my 2 years experience as a tutor, and in other employed and voluntary roles, I have strengthened my skills by working and communicating with children and adults from all walks of life. During my A Level studies, I obtained 3 A*s in Biology, Maths and Chemistry. It would be a pleasure to pass on both my knowledge and work ethic to my students, enabling them to achieve their full potential. During my GCSE studies at a grammar school, I obtained Grade 9 in 8 subjects, including Biology, Maths and Chemistry. I also obtained Grade 8 in 3 subjects, including English Literature and Language. I am 24 years old and from Liverpool. I have a first-class degree and MSt with Distinction in English Literature from Oxford University and am passionate about contemporary and early modern literature. Languages: I speak french fluently and have done so since I was 5 years old. SEND experience: I do not have any experience with tutoring students with SEND. I was sometimes placed next to SEND students in lessons in year 9 because my teachers deemed me responsible and able to aid with their work if needed. Preferred student age groups: I enjoy teaching all age groups, but having had less experience with younger I am more familiar with older GCSE to A level students. About me: I was born in the UK but grew up in France from the age of 4, attending a french school for the whole 10 years I was there. This means that I speak the language fluently and achieved a French GCSE at 12 years old. I then moved back to England in 2017 and attended boarding school until the end of 6th form which was something I very much enjoyed. I came away with 13 GCSEs and 4 A levels. I now study Aerospace Engineering at the University of Southampton. I am a vice-president of the motorsport society there and compete in both university and independent karting championships. I am currently a first year Economics student at the University of Warwick. I have always enjoyed maths and while A-Level economics was a lot of fun and extremely interesting especially during the pandemic, it is taking some time to enjoy studying the discipline at a university level. When I’m not stuck studying or doing some sort of society work I love to go for a run(on the treadmill though), re read any one of Jane Austen’s book or go for long walks with a friend.
