Hello! I'm currently a medical student in my 4th year of university. I've been tutoring students for a couple of years now and it's something I really enjoy! I've tutored secondary school students in Biology and Chemistry using a range of resources like PowerPoints, whiteboard activities and practice exam questions. Lessons are tailored to students to make them as interactive as possible and focussed on individual student targets, whether this be a focus on learning content, exam technique or revision tips. I'm also happy to answer any questions related to higher education following GCSEs, in particular for any aspiring medics! Currently a 4th year medical student. Exam Board Experience: I achieved 10 grade 9s/8s at GCSE, and have experience with AQA examinations for triple science, achieving grade 9s in all 3 sciences at GCSE. I have a grade 9 in higher tier Edexcel mathematics and A* in GCSE further mathematics. I continued Biology and Chemistry, as well as Psychology at A-Level, achieving 3 A*s.

Hi, my name is Jean and I am a Leaving Certificate Biology tutor. I am a third year medical student and I received a H1 in Biology. I have an excellent knowledge of the paper and would love the opportunity to share the information that I have. My teaching style would focus more on recalling information and would be more question based which is a technique that helped me to get 625 points in my Leaving Cert and continues to help me to achieve great results in my exam. However, my teaching style will adapt based on the student. I have accumulated a large bank of exam questions. Practising past exam questions are essential to achieving good results in the Leaving Cert Biology Exam I am a third year medical student. My knowledge of biology has only expanded since doing my leaving cert. I have been teaching on GoStudent for over a year and have really enjoyed working with both fifth and sixth year students. I am a dedicated student of Mathematics and Actuarial Science with a strong passion for problem-solving and analytical thinking. I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into simple, understandable steps—an approach I bring into my tutoring sessions. Outside of academics, I have a keen interest in sports including football, badminton, snooker, and golf. I believe that the discipline and strategic thinking gained from sports complement my academic pursuits and enhance my ability to connect with students from various backgrounds. I'm enthusiastic about helping learners build confidence and achieve their goals in a supportive and engaging environment. I am currently studying Mathematics and Actuarial Science at the University of Southampton, where I am continuing to deepen my understanding of mathematical theory, statistical analysis, and their real-world applications. This degree is further strengthening my analytical and problem-solving skills, which I bring into my tutoring sessions. Before university, I completed my A Levels at St Dominic’s Sixth Form College, achieving an A in both Mathematics and Chemistry—subjects I now tutor. My success in these subjects has given me the confidence and insight to support students in mastering challenging concepts and developing effective exam strategies. I completed my GCSEs at Pinner High School, earning 11 GCSEs at grades 9 to 7, including top marks in Maths and the Sciences. This academic foundation has given me a strong understanding of the UK curriculum and the expectations of exam boards. Having recently been through the school and sixth form system myself, I am well placed to relate to students and provide guidance that is both up-to-date and practical. I aim to create a calm, supportive, and engaging learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, tackle their weaknesses, and build confidence in their abilities.

I’m someone deeply passionate about the intersection of technology, innovation, and social impact. Having lived and studied in both India and the United Kingdom, I’ve developed a broad, multicultural perspective that fuels my drive to solve global challenges through AI, machine learning, and cybersecurity. My academic journey has been complemented by a wide range of super-curricular activities — from reading tech-focused books and watching documentaries to taking specialized courses and participating in enrichment programs at institutions like Oxford and UEA. These experiences have sharpened both my curiosity and my commitment to building technology that makes a real difference. Alongside my academic pursuits, I’ve gained hands-on experience through roles like teaching computer science at Hewett Academy and working as a research assistant on a file encryption project published with IEEE. These opportunities not only strengthened my technical skills in Python, Java, and C, but also taught me valuable lessons in teamwork, communication, and academic rigor. Outside of tech, I’m an active person — I enjoy tennis, football, and swimming, which keep me grounded and balanced. Programs like the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award and Trinity Speech and Drama have helped me build confidence, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Looking ahead, I’m excited to pursue a career that blends entrepreneurship with cutting-edge technology, aiming to address issues like climate change, food security, and digital safety. I’m not just eager to participate in this dynamic field — I want to help shape it. My educational journey began with my GCSEs at Jane Austen College in Norwich, where I developed a strong foundation in a range of subjects. I then pursued my A Levels at Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form, focusing on Maths, Chemistry and Physics, where I also had the opportunity to teach programming to younger students. Currently, I’ve just completed my first year studying Computer Science at the University of Bristol, where I’m building advanced skills in programming, algorithms, and systems. My studies have been enriched by academic programs such as the Frontier Program at Balliol College, Oxford and the Ideas Lab and Project Change at the University of East Anglia, which exposed me to research-driven and interdisciplinary learning environments. These experiences have helped me grow not only as a student but also as an aspiring technologist with global ambitions.

Nice to meet you! My name is Abdul, and I am a medical student at the University of Manchester with a strong interest in education. I achieved top grades at GCSE and A level, and I would love to help you learn effectively. I am an amicable individual who takes pride in my ability to understand, work with and assist others. I look forward to getting to know you and answering any questions you may have! During sixth form, I took part in a project called Maths Masterclasses, where I helped design and deliver lessons to primary school students. Planning my presentation required careful thought about structure, clarity, and how to challenge the students beyond their curriculum. I also completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), researching how education strategies can be used in children’s medicine to give children and their carers better understanding of health. Techniques like “teach back,” where students explain a topic in their own words, have stuck with me as important tools for reinforcing learning. More informally, I’ve often found myself helping friends understand difficult topics, and I’ve learnt how to adapt my explanations depending on who I’m speaking to. These experiences have made me realise how much I enjoy teaching, especially when I can find the right approach to make a tricky concept click. I try to make sessions engaging but focused, and I’m always thinking about how to present information clearly and logically. Away from study, I really enjoy football - I love playing fantasy league and keeping up with scores. I also like to read non fiction (especially Wikipedia these days!) to broaden my knowledge on a wide range of topics. I look forward to helping students build confidence and enjoy learning as much as possible. I’m here to make our sessions fun, structured, and tailored to your pace, helping to place you on the path to success! I completed my GCSEs at Oulder Hill Leadership Academy, obtaining the highest grade available (9) in Maths, English Language, English Literature, Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Computer Science. I then completed my A-levels in 2024, obtaining grade A in Maths, Biology and Chemistry. Alongside my A-levels, I gained a range of casual experience during college. I took part in an extracurricular programme called Maths Masterclasses, where I prepared worksheets and delivered presentations to primary school students, helping stretch their understanding of Maths beyond the standard curriculum. I was also a member of the Virtual Medical Society, working with other aspiring medical students to create presentations on topics such as medical current affairs, admission exams, and aspects of the application process. This helped me develop the ability to communicate with clarity and confidence. In addition, I completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and was awarded an A* for my work. My project, titled The Role of Health Literacy in Preventative Children's Medicine, deepened my understanding of the educational principles used in healthcare and how they can be applied within broader educational contexts.

Hi! I am a fourth-year medical student with four years of tutoring experience, consistently earning excellent reviews from students and parents. I specialise in teaching sciences and maths, subjects I excel in and am passionate about. My teaching style is fun, engaging, and tailored to help students grasp complex concepts with ease. I create custom PowerPoint presentations for each lesson, breaking down topics into manageable sections, typically covering a quarter of the topic per session to ensure steady progress and topic completion within a month. I incorporate interactive elements such as questions, quizzes, and exam-style practice to reinforce learning, improve understanding, and develop strong exam techniques. I do exam questions specific to their exam board. A recent highlight was tutoring a Year 12 student who began with a D in biology and chemistry and improved to As by the end of our lessons in year 13. I love being part of a student’s journey, watching them grow, gain confidence, and reach their potential. Having experienced how overwhelming and challenging the medicine application process can be, I’m passionate about helping students navigate difficult concepts and achieve their goals. Seeing the moment when things “click” for a student is incredibly rewarding for me. 9 GCSEs at grade 9 from Bradford Girls' Grammar School, including Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and English 3 A*s at A-level from Greenhead College in Biology, Chemistry, and Spanish UCAT score: 3050, with Band 1 in Situational Judgement Currently in 4th year of Medicine at the University of Leeds
