I have also taught Latin and Classical Greek at the London Summer School in Classics (UCL), and Homeric Greek at the Summer School in Homer (UCL). In 2021, I was awarded an Associate Fellowship from the Higher Education Academy. In 2022, I completed my PhD in Classics and Ancient History.

I am a retired teacher who loves teaching. Now I work a four day week tutoring online, helping students understand their course and prepare for the exams. I have been a tutor since early 2020, when I started this career choice alongside working in the NHS as a mature student nurse at the University of Sheffield. I later went on to make this my full-time career, and in this time have worked with over 300 students, both long term and short term, of all different ages. I have worked both through agencies, and privately, with most of my students being referred through word of mouth. I’ve had many years of experience volunteering with schools helping students excel in subjects that they find difficult. I’ve always had a passion for science leading me to have a career in microbiology so I know tutoring biology would be a strong suit.
