Hi! I'm Abbie, a fourth year BSc Biotechnology with Industrial Experience student based in Manchester. I'm looking to tutor GCSE Science and A-Level Biology. Having been a student leader throughout my second year, I have a dedication to supporting and teaching students and will use my knowledge and experiences to ensure you make the most out of your studies. I attended Peter Symonds College, where I studied Biology, Psychology, Chemistry and the Extended Project Qualification (A*/A*/A/A*). I currently attend university in Manchester and specialise in Biotechnology (with interest primarily in genetics, bioinformatics, and molecular biology).

I teach GCSE Mathematics and Sciences, as well as Year 12 A-level Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. In College, I studied Maths, Physics and Chemistry at A-level, which are some of the subjects I specialise in, but also enjoy heavily. I've had experience in teaching, where I taught a range of year groups at my local community trust, including languages, academic subjects, and religion.

Alongside my A-Levels, I completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) on antibiotic resistance, an area of real scientific relevance. This independent research project developed my ability to think critically, evaluate complex information, and communicate ideas in a clear, structured way—skills that are essential for academic success and effective exam technique. I am currently a medical student, a highly competitive course that reflects both my academic ability and commitment to excellence. Studying medicine has further strengthened my understanding of science at a deeper level, while also training me to break down complex topics into simple, logical steps—an approach I use directly in my tutoring to help students understand, retain, and apply what they learn with confidence.
