I am a University of York Computer Science student originally from Australia but now living in York! I enjoy working with young people and have worked in a wide variety of primary and high schools across the Leeds area. In my spare time, I enjoy playing on games on my Nintendo Switch and have even built my own computer!

I am a certified TESOL teacher who studied English at college, and law and business studies at university. I spent three years teaching English in Tokyo, Japan - first for a language school and then in business. Since returning to the UK, I have taught for many different companies and also as a private home tutor. I'm used to teaching adults and children of all ages and am accustomed to working towards examinations. As a tutor, it's important that my student feels comfortable and has confidence in my abilities to help them progress so I have a relaxed manner when teaching but with an eye on reaching targets. So we will look at the areas where you need help, look at your existing approach to learning and work out strategies to get you where you need to be. I enjoy writing and sometimes write content for websites. I'm also great at watching tennis - not so good at playing though. I spent lockdown doing a lot of baking with friends online and caught up on watching some of the films that I'd always been meaning to watch. Hi!! I'm a second-year PhD student at King's College London. My current research concerns the interaction between a surgeon and a robot during robotic-assisted surgery and the security behind it. So far, I've been looking into this area from different perspectives: implications of trust, user trust; disruptions to the process; effects of these interruptions; teamwork and collaboration in RAS and how this influences the patient outcome, anticipation from team members; human emotions. I love teaching, I have been a teaching assistant at the university for 3 years now. I ran small and large group tutorials. This has been a great opportunity for me to strengthen my understanding of the modules I taught, as I also marked students' assignments. Time management and attention to detail were two vital skills I developed through this role. This experience has proven to me that different people interpret the same ideas with new perspectives, and has made me aware of the various methods available to approach problems. In my spare time, I play sports, travel and paint. I have been skiing since I was 4 years old and at university, I joined the rugby and tennis teams. I am a very competitive person. I love travelling, my top countries so far are France, Germany and Austria. My favourite museums are art galleries and I like to collect fridge magnets :)).
