The melodious and soft nature of the Italian language distinguishes it from other languages. Italian is widely regarded as one of the most popular languages on the planet. In fact, the Italian language is the fourth most studied in the world right after English, Spanish and Chinese.
However, although Italian is a popular subject, many students still have problems keeping up with Italian lessons. And that's understandable. The curriculum is often so intense that the teachers in many schools have very little time to explain the subject matter or to answer students' questions in the necessary depth. Since many elements of Italian are not easy to understand and convey (grammar in particular), parents are often unable to help their children either.
For these reasons, many students are stressed, worried about bad grades and miss out on the fun of Italian lessons. This shouldn’t be the case.
Our tutors from GoStudent will be happy to support your child so they can achieve their learning goals when it comes to their Italian lessons. Regardless of whether they’re in primary school, secondary school or university, you’ll be able to find the help you need. At GoStudent we will find your child the right tutor for them.
Our exam preparation and tutoring services are also very popular. Does your child need homework help, exam preparation assistance or just to practise their skills with a native? Contact us and we will give you the best possible support so that your child can achieve their goals.
Italian is a popular language to learn because its country of origin is one of Europe’s most popular tourist destinations. Italy is one of the most beautiful and historically rich countries on the planet, having the most UNESCO world heritage sites. Everyone wants to visit Florence, Rome, and Venice, and their fame is well-deserved. It may seem self-evident, but learning Italian is the most effective way to discover Italian culture.
Italian is also the language that is most closely associated with art and culture. Italian influence may be found in many aspects of life and culture, from painting to architecture, literature to music, design to cuisine and wine. Learning Italian is a great way to learn about all these things!
Learning Italian will give your child a real confidence boost because they’ll be able to chat to a new set of individuals and share a new culture. Whether it's watching great Italian films, reading Italian newspapers, or listening to Italian music, they’ll be able to find something that interests them and gets them hooked on the language.
Learning Italian can give your child a sense of accomplishment and open doors to new exciting possibilities both in the workplace and in their own personal lives.
Italian as a foreign language offers endless possibilities from better job opportunities to an improved quality of life.

The learning objectives of Italian lessons focus on the following four areas: Competencies in reading, writing, speaking and listening comprehension.
In the first years of Italian lessons, the following topics are usually dealt with:
In secondary schools, lesson topics become more complicated and problems with understanding often arise, which parents usually cannot help with either.
Topics that are now dealt with at higher levels are generally:
At GoStudent, we will find the right teacher for your child for every conceivable subject across all classes and at all levels (primary school, secondary school, exam preparation and university).
Many students work up a sweat when they think about their Italian exams. This may be because they either started learning too late or not at all.
Is this the case with your child? Then now is the right time to get started with one of our friendly and professional tutors. Whether your child is studying for an Italian GCSE or A level in England or the National 3,4,5, Italian Higher or Advanced Higher in Scotland, we have a tutor who knows the curriculum well.
Especially if time is tight, a tutor can help your child quickly learn and internalize the essentials so that they can go to their exam as stress-free as possible and get the grade they want.
Many students are unable to follow Italian lessons in school because they lack the appropriate learning experience.
While students can learn through homework, they can often feel overwhelmed by doing it alone. For this reason, our tutors offer homework help for Italian. This will help your child keep up with the material, have good experiences in Italian lessons and boost their self-confidence.
It's critical to have access to as much help as possible during this critical time of studying in order to prepare students for assessments, assignments, and exams along the path to obtaining a degree in Italian.
The best way to make the most out of an Italian degree is to thrive during each test, assignment, and year. Students can relax in the knowledge that they are not alone in their studies with the help of one of our Italian tutors. With tutoring, students receive all the extra attention and support they need throughout their Italian degree.
If students are falling behind on their homework or having trouble with specific topics, private degree-level Italian tutoring may help them overcome these obstacles. Italian is a popular subject to study - which is why it is all the more important to make sure your child is reaching the entry requirements for GCSEs and A levels.
One of the advantages of GoStudent is that you can use your credits over a variety of subjects so you can study Italian and the other subjects that are needed for entrance into university at the same time. The grades you need for entry to Italian on average are listed below (data taken from UCAS.) Check out the homepage of your child’s desired university for more detailed information.
At least two A levels are normally required for admission to a language-related degree. The entry criteria for universities and colleges range from BBB to AAB, with ABB being the most frequent. If you're looking for a degree in English or a modern foreign language like French, Spanish, or German, you'll almost certainly need an A level in the subject, with some colleges requiring a minimum of a B. To demonstrate your capacity to learn a new language, you'll need at least one A level in a foreign language for other language degrees. Some institutions that offer American Studies need an A level in history or English.
You'll also need at least five GCSEs (A-C) in science, English, and maths, in addition to the various A level criteria listed above.
Highers (the most prevalent qualification) have entry criteria ranging from ABBB to AAAAB, with AABBB being the most common. Universities occasionally want Advanced Highers to supplement Highers. When universities or colleges ask for Advanced Highers, they usually require ABB.
