Lower Level: Business Studies, English Literature GCSE: Business Studies, English Literature, English Language A-Level: Business Studies, English Literature Preferred exam board experience: AQA for both English and Business Studies, however, the Edexcel Business Studies course has a lot of crossover and therefore could teach this. Languages: German up to GCSE level. Preferred student age group: Primary Level and GCSE level however would be happy to teach up to A-Level for both subjects. From a young age I had a passion for teaching; setting up my dolls and teaching them about whatever I had learnt that day at school, now I have the opportunity to do that and see the results of what we have gone through. Throughout sixth form, alongside my A-Levels I would tutor the younger pupils and help them gain confidence and find enjoyment in learning. now at University, whilst I no longer have the opportunity to do this I now volunteer at the local hospital organising activity evenings for the patients there. Not only do I meet a variety of people here but it has also greatly improved my organisational skills and challenged my already creative brain to new lengths. When I get the chance to relax I do so by reading. I hope that I can incorporate my love for literature in my teaching to create memorable and long lasting connections through what I teach my students. I hope my passion for teaching can be seen through my lessons and will inspire those who I work with to achieve their personal and academic goals! Up until leaving school at 18 I attended The Priory Academy LSST. Here I completed my GCSEs, coming away with 12 GCSEs securing two 9s in English Literature and English Language. I decided to choose English Literature, Psychology and Business Studies as my A-Level options and completed the two years with an A* in Psychology, an A in English Literature and a B in Business Studies. Currently, I am in my first year at Durham University studying Psychology with an optional module in English Literature.

Hi there! I’m Teacher Michael, a 28-year-old educator based in the vibrant city of Olongapo, Zambales in the Philippines. I’ve been igniting curiosity and inspiring young minds for the past four years, and let me tell you, it’s been an incredible journey! My Teaching Philosophy I believe that learning should be as exciting as a great adventure! My classroom is a space where curiosity thrives, and every question is celebrated. Whether we’re exploring the microscopic marvels of microbiology or tackling big ideas about life and the world around us, I strive to make every lesson engaging, interactive, and relevant. What Sets Me Apart Science with a Twist: I use creative teaching methods to make even the most complex scientific concepts easy to understand and memorable. Hands-On Learning: Expect experiments, demonstrations, and real-world applications that bring theory to life. Mentorship: I’m not just here to teach—I’m here to guide, inspire, and help my students unlock their potential. Fun Facts About Me When I’m not in the classroom or the lab, you’ll find me hiking the lush trails of Zambales, working out in my local gym or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. I’m a self-proclaimed microbiology geek—yes, I do get excited about bacteria and fungi! I love turning everyday moments into teachable ones, whether it’s explaining how yeast works while baking bread or talking about ecosystems during a nature walk. My Vision My ultimate goal as a teacher is to empower my students to think critically, embrace challenges, and see the beauty of science in their daily lives. I want them to leave my class not just with knowledge, but with a lifelong passion for learning. Thanks for stopping by to learn a little about me! Let’s make learning an unforgettable adventure together! My Academic Journey I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science, which provided me with a solid foundation in science and a deep appreciation for the intricate wonders of life. Currently, I’m diving even deeper into the fascinating world of microbiology as I pursue a Master’s Degree in Medical Technology. It’s a challenging but rewarding path, and I love bringing the latest insights from my studies straight to my classroom.

Hello! This is Quratu Layan Choudhry. I’m a passionate and highly experienced educator with over 11 years of teaching experience across all grade levels. My primary focus is on English Language and English Literature, particularly at GCSE level, where I specialise in preparing students for the AQA exam board. I’ve worked extensively with students of all abilities, helping them to build confidence, improve their analytical and writing skills, and achieve excellent results through carefully structured, engaging lessons tailored to their individual needs. In addition to English, I have also spent many years teaching Science—with a particular emphasis on Physics—and Geography, providing a well-rounded academic foundation for students in Key Stages 3 and 4. My ability to teach across multiple subject areas allows me to make meaningful interdisciplinary connections that help students see the bigger picture and understand how different fields of knowledge relate to each other. I hold a CELTA qualification from Cambridge University, a globally respected certification for teaching English to speakers of other languages. This training has equipped me with a deep understanding of how to teach English effectively, whether I’m working with native speakers or students who are learning English as an additional language. It has also enhanced my ability to break down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps for learners at all levels. My teaching style is student-centred and adaptive. I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor my approach to suit the unique needs, goals, and learning styles of each individual. Whether I’m helping a student prepare for their GCSEs, supporting them with homework, or building core literacy skills, I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where they feel comfortable to ask questions, take risks, and grow in confidence. I make use of a wide range of teaching resources, including past papers, model answers, visual aids, and interactive activities, to ensure lessons are both academically effective and enjoyable. Ultimately, I’m committed to helping students succeed—not just in exams, but in developing the critical thinking, communication, and independent learning skills that will benefit them throughout their education and beyond. I look forward to supporting you or your child on their learning journey.

I teach senior high school mathematics at all levels, from foundational to advanced. With years of experience as a government tax specialist and roles as a system analyst, programmer, and statistician in IT, I transitioned to teaching, which has always been my passion. I began tutoring in college to support my expenses and discovered the rewarding challenge of working with a student with dyscalculia. Through tailored strategies and building strong rapport, she succeeded. My diverse background has made me resourceful and innovative, enhancing my effectiveness in both teaching and problem-solving. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from St. Scholastica’s College, Manila, where I completed challenging courses such as Calculus, Statistical Analysis, Number Theory, and Linear Algebra. I also pursued post-graduate studies in Mathematics Education at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, focusing on educational strategies and child development, with research on learning disabilities. Although I couldn’t complete my thesis due to budget constraints, I am skilled in teaching all levels of mathematics, including Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Statistics, and Business Mathematics.
