Hey there! My name is Jessica and it's a pleasure to be teaching English on this platform. My day 'job' is being a law student at University College London, but I'm teaching on the side in order to gain some valuable skills and further my possible future career. Before finding GoStudent, I got into tutoring via a charity and discovered I had a real knack for teaching English. I'm hence experienced at tutoring A-Level English and have had considerable success in improving my students' confidence and knowledge of the text. What do I like to teach most of all? My name is Joss, I’m 19 and I’m a first-year student at University College London studying French, Politics and Economics. At GCSE I attained 8 grade 9s, and at A Level I attained A*A*A* in Maths, English Literature and Philosophy. Further to this, I have a DELF at B2 level - an internationally recognised exam issued by the French government to prove French ability. Aside from my grades, in school I was a diligent and responsible student, holding the position of head-boy in final year taught me invaluable lessons in communication, leadership and organisation. As your tutor, I would hope to use these skills to develop you as a student and allow you to achieve the best possible grades. Whilst I have always been academically inclined, I have also always had many other interests outside of the classroom. I am an avid sports player, I play for my university football team, played rugby for Sheffield during secondary school and my favourite holidays have always been skiing and mountain biking.
