Annabel Heath
I am currently studying product design and manufacture at the University of Nottingham. I have maths, physics and engineering a-levels and I am looking to tutor maths students from year seven to year eleven. I have previous experience working with year sevens in a maths classroom and a year elevens with one-on-one tutoring going through past papers. I like to read and go on walks to help keep a positive attitude. I have completed both bronze and silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards, and have also completed my leadership training with Girls Brigade.

I love stories and music. This is why I did an English and Music degree, which I really enjoyed. Reading and writing are such essential and valuable skills, so this, along with my love of stories is why I teach English. I think the Harry Potter books are fantastic. My favourite Shakespeare play is ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, as I love the magic of the forest and the fun of the character Puck. I have also studied Ancient Greek. This proved to be a fascinating language; I found it interesting to learn where so many modern words stem from. I used to run my own drama groups; I believe in the importance of self expression and the confidence that this can bring to people. I have been a tour guide, which was great fun. It was an excellent opportunity to see many interesting sites, whilst meeting many wonderful people. I have worked with a wide range of students over the years and believe in the potential of every individual. In my spare time I enjoy playing the piano. I try to write songs with my partner, who is a much better musician than me. It usually ends up with me writing the lyrics and him writing the music! I also enjoy sailing, writing stories and walking my crazy puppy; she is a mix of sheepdogs, so all she wants to do is round everyone up, including the cat!

A student of mathematics at university of East Anglia, in Norwich, I am quite passionate about mathematics. Tutoring will help me as I am considering being a teacher in the future. I enjoy mathematics and also enjoy teaching others, it creates an insight into my own understanding and intrigues me to know there are various ways to understand the same mathematics concept.

Aasim Mansoor Ahmed
Hello, my name is Aasim. I am currently a 4th year medical student aspiring to one day become an orthopaedic surgeon. I attended Trinity School of John Whitgift in London, after which I took a gap year and started Medicine at university afterwards. During my gap year I spent time working as an HCA at the Royal London Hospital as well as tutoring some of my family friends' children for chemistry and maths. I also spent a fair amount of time pursuing my own hobbies and interests such as drawing, reading and football which I try to play once a week with my friends. I like to incorporate visual aids in my lessons as I, myself, am a very visual learner. I also like to maintain a light-hearted environment when teaching my students, often employing humour during my lessons as I feel that it can make the student more relaxed and enables them to learn and absorb concepts in a stress-free environment. After covering a particular topic, I often go through questions together with students so that they can apply their knowledge in a practical setting which is what they will have to do in their exams after all.
