I specialise in teaching English as a second language (ESL) and have taught students of all ages and abilities (children and adults) but these skills are transferrable and I also equally enjoy teaching children from Early Years to KS2 English, children who have difficulty with communication or concentration, shy students and adult learners. I have had close to 1,500 hours of tutoring experience online, (mostly) teaching one-to-one. I adapt my lessons to the needs and abilities of the individual child or adult. No two students learn the same way! I may use flashcards, videos, puppets, songs and learning games, trying to make my lessons interesting and fun as I believe that students learn best when they are engaged and enjoying the lesson. I love doing all sorts of crafts, for example crocheting, painting rocks and making sock toys.
