I am 20 years old and currently an undergraduate student at Edinburgh Napier University studying English and Film. I am from the Highlands of Scotland so I am familiar with the SQA exam board. However, I am also capable of teaching my subjects to students that belong to different exam boards. I can teach from the ages of 9-17. Aside from my studies, I enjoy reading, crocheting, and baking in my spare time. I am currently in my second year of University at Edinburgh Napier and study English and Film. I enjoy reading a lot, my favourite book is Once in a House on Fire - Andrea Ashworth as it tells a tale of a girl who has come from a struggled upbringing due to her step dads and I just feel her emotions throughout the book are very relatable to readers and I resonated well with the morals being taught within the autobiography. I practiced photography and enjoy capturing landscape photos.

I am studying Automotive Engineering at University of Sussex. I want to create a environment for the student that will make them enthusiastic about the subject like Maths & English so they can develop their critical thinking and implement the knowledge in other subjects as well.

ABOUT ME I have a deep interest in history, human and physical geography, anthropology, technology, architecture and engineering. I especially enjoy the history and geography of languages and language families. I'm into all sorts of things if I'm honest. I am a keen traveller (but who isn't nowadays), audiophile and technophile, with a love for all kinds of technologies, analogue and digital, new and old. Thanks to COVID I learnt a lot of DIY skills through necessity. My house also has a garden full of fruit trees, so I guess that would make me an amateur gardener by default. I try to keep fit by cycling when possible, but my favourite sport is swimming. TEACHING EXPERIENCE/PREFERENCES The subjects I teach are History, English Literature and Language for GCSE and A-level, as well as ESL English. I tend to teach students aged 14+, so from Year 9 to Year 13 or more mature students for ESL, but I do have a few students younger than this. I use a variety of teaching approaches, ranging from traditional methods of text analysis to modern forms of teaching, such as interactive quizzes, questionnaires and even YouTube videos if they benefit the students learning style. Exam Board Experience: Experience of all English assessment boards, but especially AQA and Edexcel in the, and WJEC/Eduqas and OCR to a lesser extent. Languages: English: as a first language to advanced/professional level. Turkish: fluent to college level, but nor advanced enough for teaching purposes.

Hi! I'm Tara a law student at Cardiff University. I love travelling, surfing, reading and just being out and about in general. Hi I’m Emily, I’m from the Norfolk coast, I love watersports and living on the beach. I have travelled extensively and love meeting people from all over the world on my travels.
