Hi there! I am a third year biomedical sciences student keen on utilising my skills to help others. I love baking in my free time, which helps me wind down. It also helps that I can give cute little treats that I make to friends and family. I moved to Scotland to complete my Highers where I did four Highers and graduated with a prize in Higher Chemistry. I went St Paul's RC in Dundee. Currently, I go to the University of Dundee where I am pursuing a Biomedical Sciences degree. Hello, I’m George, a qualified and experienced Science teacher specialising in Biology. I began teaching in a secondary school and sixth form in 2020 and have more than 2000 hours of teaching experience and have taught hundreds of students across KS3, GCSE, and A-level, helping them achieve real progress and confidence in their science studies. My passion for teaching began during a volunteer placement in Ghana in 2016, where I taught English and helped coach local sports teams, seeing first-hand the transformative power of education. Further to this I also have other experience in coaching and mentoring roles. In 2016, I volunteered for 6 weeks in a primary school in Accra, Ghana. My primary role was teaching English to students, but given that I have achieved a Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training and level 1 qualified rugby coach, I also helped to introduce organised sport in the school and also coached local men's rugby team, the Dansoman Hurricanes.

In these subjects I received all As and A*s, with mathematics being a particular strong suit where I achieved the highest grades possible in A-level maths (A*), AS-level further maths (A) and GCSE maths (grade 9). In my spare time, I am fond of drumming, having achieved a grade 8 with distinction. I'm in my first year at UCL studying German, I successfully passed the Goethe Zertifikat C1 exam in German in 2020, and I also won the first place at the National Modern German Olympiad in Romania.
